  Location is great. Staff was very helpful. We were sent to a room initially that had been cleaned but then it looked like someone had come afterwards to shower and dress (used razor in shower, empty perfume bottle, towel and robe used, etc.) The staff was very apologetic, sent us to a better room and sent up a bottle of red wine. Comfortable bed, quiet despite being in the middle of the city and great shower. The location was perfect...close to the Village, Meatpacking District, and Chelsea. The video that plays in the elevator...what a creepy and great touch. Everyone was mesmerized by it!   It's was daughters 7th birthday. The staff went above and beyond. Recognized her at breakfast the following day and took it upon themselves to sing her happy birthday even remembering her name. Upon check out they had a hand written card with a small gift (winter hat) thanking her for spending her birthday at The Whiteface Lodge .
