    The staff was helpful and friendly. They were responsive to requests and pro-active in ensuring that all was going well. The rooms were clean and well tended. The location of the hotel is excellent as a subway stop on a major line going toward Manhattan lies literally only a few paces from the hotel door. Fresh waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, yoghurt, coffee, juice and pastries make this an attractive hotel for those who like break - Great value for money as it is very near Manhattan city. The location is really convenient, just steps from the subway and many places to eat even late at night. The staff (esp Jose) were really helpful, upon request and room availability, they helped us moved to a higher floor with great view of Manhattan city with no hassle and all with smiles. Breakfast was great, warm waffles and eggs, bacon and sausages, even though they were the same each day, there was variety to choose from like cereal

    Self-contained unit, safe secure entry, spacious with modern kitchen facilities. Plastic bowls and plates cutlery etc..but I guess it saves washing and breakage. Good clothes storage facilities. Neighbourhood is quite ethnic..but safe as we walked back fro the subway late at night and went shopping to try to buy food to cook..which was impossible ... what people say » unless you have ethnic/Asian tastes. Most of the European restaurants are at the other end of Brooklyn near the bridge. Though there is a McDonalds ab - We were really impressed with the hotel. Surprisingly nice for such a great price. It isn't in manhattan but it is a 10 min walk between 2 metro stations and fast to get to everywhere. The area itself was multi cultural which means great food! Also, there were some really great cafes and bars in walking distance (we loved sycamore - which is a flower shop with a bar in the back, milk and honey - which has great breakfast, and there is even a coffee shop at newkirk plaza station that had Toby's
