  I loved the closeness of the room, and that they did not short-change the bathroom space. The room was proportioned perfectly with a huge bed and lovely closet space. And I especially love the glass shower. The location is something that goes with the experience, so I love that as well. Icing on the cake, was the diner for breakfast. Great experience for those who need a quick place to stay, or just want to be in - I like that the front desk was friendly. The room is compact like a studio but not bad. Comfy! If your looking or expecting Four Seasons but your paying $69, get real! But let me tell you, this is the real New York experience coming from an New Yorker! The room is small like real rooms in ny but is clean and good if you need a place for a night or too! Its a couple blocks away from Barclay, not sure what Ghetto means to "some" people but it isnt the ghetto, maybe to citylike if your from Idaho

  Self-contained unit, safe secure entry, spacious with modern kitchen facilities. Plastic bowls and plates cutlery etc..but I guess it saves washing and breakage. Good clothes storage facilities. Neighbourhood is quite ethnic..but safe as we walked back fro the subway late at night and went shopping to try to buy food to cook..which was impossible ... what people say » unless you have ethnic/Asian tastes. Most of the European restaurants are at the other end of Brooklyn near the bridge. Though there is a McDonalds ab - We were really impressed with the hotel. Surprisingly nice for such a great price. It isn't in manhattan but it is a 10 min walk between 2 metro stations and fast to get to everywhere. The area itself was multi cultural which means great food! Also, there were some really great cafes and bars in walking distance (we loved sycamore - which is a flower shop with a bar in the back, milk and honey - which has great breakfast, and there is even a coffee shop at newkirk plaza station that had Toby's
