This is one of the cheapest locations I stayed in NY, where even the YMCA (where they treat you like a dog) charges 119 USD per night. For less than half that price this is a perfectly located, clean and efficient hostel with friendly staff. Only 2 blocks from Penn station and the air train to JFK! -

This was our first visit to New York. The location is excellent. I travelled with my three daughters and we felt safe. Easy access to subway, shopping and sight seeing. I was stranded at Penn Station during the snow storms for a night. This hotel was one block from Penn Station and less than 1/2 the price ($380+) the other hotels were asking. Two stars but close, clean and safe. -

The location was perfect, situated perfectly in midtown - it was close to get to uptown and downtown. Subway and bike rental was 3 minutes away. Apartment was also very clean, Air conditioner worked very well for hot nyc summer weather. Reading the previous comments I was slightly cautious regarding this
booking, but this apartment turned out to be extremely clean, friendly
staff (Ray) who you may always contact, excellent location for
sightseeing the whole city and perfect beds (also for tall people) and
clean shower / toilet. Would rent here again on my next trip,
amazing value for money.
