  The personalized service was amazing. Upon our arrival, we wrote it was our first time to the city. The concierge hand wrote a welcome card and included a map with highlighted areas we must see WITH a detailed (again handwritten) explanation of each place corresponding to color print outs of the sites.   My two friends (a couple) and I stayed at the Canterbury for two nights to celebrate my birthday. We booked a one bedroom queen suite, which ended up being just the right amount of room for the three of us. The bedroom had a door which separated it from both the living area and bathroom, giving us a nice amount of privacy. The bathroom was quit... what people say » e large, but had only a shower. This was just a small inconvenience for us though (I was kind of looking forward to taking a bubble bath). The kitc - We enjoyed our stay at The Canterbury. It was a great location and very easy to get around San Francisco by foot. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
