This place is perfect if you don't like these 5 stars crowded resorts.
High standard of accomodation (we even had our own jacuzzi at the terrace), super clean, good breakfasts, free wifi, walking distance to the beach/shop/restaurants and last but not least, the best host - very nice and helpful!

It has an amazing view and best pool we've ever had!
Excellent food and rich breakfast.
The hotel is very quiet so you can relax and enjoy every second of your stay.
Another great thing that the hotel offers is free transportation to lamai and chaweng! (Few times a day)

What a lovely boutique hotel. Over and above that the rates are really affordable, the hotel itself, breakfasts given, size of room and location to beach were all wonderfull. The location is right on a beautiful beach, ideal for lounging on or strolling along to the various restaurants along the sands. The staff are extremely helpful, and very friendly. Briliiant accommodation, especially Hydro pool rooms, relaxing place to stay. Loved every minute of the stay, for the third year in a row, hoping to make it a fourth.

We stayed in a beautiful room with a small private pool. It was clean, the service is good. Breakfast is OK only.

I liked the ambience and the architecture of Buddy. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
the complex has a good variety of shops and restaurants although I mostly chose to eat at the nearby New Hut for budget reasons and preferred to try "authentic Thai" food with fellow travelers.
The pools were beautiful although on my second last day whilst lounging at the big pool a snake fell out of a over hanging palm and landed on my chest, however I don't blame the resort for that.
