  Because there was noisy working in the appartement next door.We got a FREE UPGRADE room so we did not have any noise.We did not ask for it but got it anyway. They helped us book plenty of day trips and packed us a breakfast when they found out we'd be checking out before the kitchen opened. Location was convenient for beach access (just across the street), and it was easy to grab a taxi to head to the tourist streets - Loved the open-plan design of the public rooms. Watching the geckos took me back to my childhood in Vietnam. Loved the staff, especially the lady who taught me a new Thai phrase every day. Food was good. Room was large, comfortable, with good air-con. Swimming pool was much better than I had expected from a small hotel. And the garden is great - my wife loves plants, and was in heaven.

  We initially stayed for a couple of days then moved south. On returning we to Hua Hin we decided to book in again at Veranda Lodge. The staff welcomed us back and gave us an upgrade which was lovely. The room was very good and we loved the fact that the Hotel is right on the beach - breakfast overlooking the sea!   Fantastic location for chillin on the beach and enjoying great lunches of local seafood. We stayed for 3 weeks and found our stay perfect if, like us, you wish for a quiet and peaceful environment. The staff are very polite and unobtrusive and the housekeeping is excellent and very prompt. All in all, a lovely resort for those looking for quality ... what people say » time together. We intend to revisit next year. - It is a beautiful place for holiday relaxation right in front of the beach. Staff were helpful and welcoming.
