  We shared a two bedroom unit with friends on our way to Milford Sound. We arrived well before book in time and asked owner to store our luggage so we did not have to take it with us to Milford. Good reasonably priced food and ver - I asked on how to use the BBQ facilities and detail advice was given by staff I the front desk, then the staff called to my room to confirm if everything is OK with my BBQ dinner The room was serviced everyday even include washing used dishes and kitchen utensils. I found other motels which charge much higher in Queenstown do not provide such service

  Classic independent motel in NZ - bit older than some but all round no grouses. We could go on...the motel was across from a lovely park through which we walked (with gorgeous mounta - We received a very warm welcome from the receptionist, who showed us to our room and gave us two freshly baked muffins, lovely. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The next morning I asked where I could book a particular trip to Milford Sound - the receptionist sorted it all out for me and booked the cruise. The laundry facilities were also very handy and, again, spotless.

  The very first impression was cheap and bit tired. However, the second look was a far more positive: the apartment was simple, yet perfectly functional and very very spatious. We had a large living room with sofa+setee+TVset+ kitchen table + kitchenette, one single bedroom; then a separate bedroom with a queen size double, wardrobe; huge bathroom ... what people say » (seems wheelchair compatible); all perfectly clean and lots of space everywhere. Very good and free wi-fi. Parking right in front of the living room. - The owner of this hotel was very friendly and helpful and booked our trip to Milford Sound for us. The room we had was very comfortable with a nice garden setting to sit in and enjoy the lovely weather we enjoyed while touring the South Island. We would certainly recommend this motel to our friends and family.

  It is very conveniently located near Manipouri to be able to catch the Doubtful Sound boats and in fact arranges and has discounts on the Doubtful Sound and Milford Sounds trips (for some but not all trips). The staff is exceptionally friendly, cheerful and helpful. One staff member even stayed late so we had time to consult our schedule to see ... what people say » if the overnight trip to Doubtful was feasible, canceled our second night booking with their site with a small fee ($17) as he really seemed more inte - we rent and booked 2 bedrooms apt . we notified that we would be there 5 adults and 2 children. the rooms were as expected. 1 room with 3 single beds and another bed room with double bed. and they prepared the sofa bed in the living room to very comfy . i recommend this apartment to whom want to go holiday with family. dont worry they have all necesarry things to cook . laundry is also available ib other sidebof the apArtment.

  This was our best stay in NZ. The lady at the reception ( Elina) is so helpful. She gave us great advice as to when to leave for Milford sound, not to book unless you are going or lunch cruise, early morning tkts are easily available. She also upgraded us to a better room, the view from the room was excellent. My wife loved the place. We were so ... what people say » happy that we stayed one day more. - Kitchen facilities OK, but a little cramped. Knowledgable, responsive and friendly staff. Some people complain about sand flies in the room, but we had the windows open all night with no bites. Te Anau is a great location for visiting the sounds and the lakes.

  3 of us stayed in lovely 1 bedroom apartment. Clean, modern, fully equipped kitchen facilities, flatscreen TV with satellite channels and DVD player, nice hot shower and heaters. What we appreciated very much was the free wifi which is rare in NZ! They also kindly allowed us to leave our car in the motel carpark while we were on our Milford Cruis... what people say » e. - The Manager is a smiling font of knowledge - best value-for-money tours, best place to eat, even Dad-jokes. We were 4 seniors on a fly-drive junket and our unit was very adequate. You have a patio with a bench where you can relax and enjoy the views. The young lady who staffed the reception desk when we arrived is truly an asset to the business. There is a 24 hour laundry facility on site with free washing machin - I had a wonderful stay at Fjordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments. The heating was excellent, and very welcome after tramping outdoors, it was very clean and comfortable, and there were luxuries in the details like the toiletries and complete utensil set in the kitchen. The lakeview from the garden literally outside our door was truly spectacular, and it is a short and easy walk to town centre or the conservation centre. The staff were warm and helpful. I would definitely go back there to stay,
