The location was outstanding with beautiful views of the lake. We booked a one bedroom apartment that was spacious, well appointed and clean. You have a patio with a bench where you can relax and enjoy the views. The young lady who staffed the reception desk when we arrived is truly an asset to the business. She was very responsive, even coming to our apartment to help me set the alarm for our early departure to Milford Sound. There is a 24 hour laundry facility on site with free washing machin.
all reviews » I had a wonderful stay at Fjordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments. The heating was excellent, and very welcome after tramping outdoors, it was very clean and comfortable, and there were luxuries in the details like the toiletries and complete utensil set in the kitchen. The lakeview from the garden literally outside our door was truly spectacular, and it is a short and easy walk to town centre or the conservation centre. The staff were warm and helpful. I would definitely go back there to stay,. The location is hard to beat, and having tables and chairs outside, overlooking Lake Te Anau, was an unexpected bonus and perfect for sharing a bottle of NZ wine with our friends. We only met one staff person and he was friendly and very helpful, even though we arrived much earlier than expected. Being allowed to leave the car there overnight while we did the cruise on Doubtful Sound was much appreciated. An extremely well appointed unit including free wifi, 2 TV's, 2 luxury lounge chair rockers. Shared laundry with free washing machines and a small fee for dryers. Pleasant outlook of the lake, and easy walk to town centre. Stayed here 3 nights and used hotel as our base for Milford and Doubtful Sounds tours. The view of the lake was wonderful. We were upstairs in Unit 10. The recliner's were a wonderful treat. Had a bit of bad weather so it was wonderful to be able to kick back in them and look out at the storm. Nicely appointed kitchen and very helpful and pleasant staff. Bed was wonderfully comfy. The young lady who dealt with us was charming,very helpful and gave us some good tips on getting the most out of our visit. The accommodation was very spacious, comfortable and with lovely views. Local facilities - restaurants, shops, takeaways etched. We're very good. The added extras such as the washing up liquid, proper milk, the accommodating staff, free WIFI, the relaxing views over the lake, free washing facilities,facilities to store cases until we caught our bus.... Excellent place to stay! Staff were so helpful!. everything about it the owner was wonderful he made you feel very welcome and gave as loads of info, the motel is so close to the lake its great, and the rooms are very large they are like small homes not motels would go back ant time thanks for the stay. The close proximity to the lake...just across the road and the walking distance to the restaurants,shopping and picture theatre showing the marvellous fiords and mountains. It was just the two of us and the room was really really huge! It was the size of an apartment, with one bedroom, a kitchen area and a hall with a balcony. The lake view was excellent. Nothing negative - would say this was the best accomodation in our 2 week NZ stay. Could have used a bit more water pressure in the shower but that is a minor point. Everything else was wonderful. Unlimited free wifi would have been good. only had one big hiccup we had one of the ground rooms and the painters had been upstairs al day and the smell came through the ceiling we had to move late the fist night into another room. Master bedroom was not separate from the living room and television which made it difficult for sleeping on different schedules especially when fighting jet lag. I would mark hundred and ten if the toilet area is enlarged a bit. Well, if I really want to pick something I hope the bedroom can be lake facing instead of being stuck at the back. We liked everything!. Wish we could have stayed longer!. Nothing not to like. Nothing not to like! The weather - it rained hard and so we couldn't do our Luxmore Jet Boat trip :-(. The new paint smell was hard to handle but someone has to be the first in after painting. So, it won't be a problem for long. Nothing. nothing. No restuarant, especially for breakfast. Had the hardest beds I had ever come across. Thought we would have an upstairs apartment with a balcony but had downstairs apartment. Couldn't ask for an alternative because the place was booked out. Having to leave. Had trouble with Zenbu cutting us off, can't use more than one computer and was expensive. Parking was sometimes a little difficult. none. Noisy refurbishment work on other apartments during their 'off season'. Low water pressure in the shower,. If Internet were not on and off, difficult to access; if there would be 2 bathrooms for 4 people; and if there were a curtain to shut the bedroom from sitting room; if we have not forgotten our usb in the room, then everything will be just perfect. Weak to no wifi. No door/partition between the main bedroom and living room.
