  This was our best stay in NZ. The lady at the reception ( Elina) is so helpful. She gave us great advice as to when to leave for Milford sound, not to book unless you are going or lunch cruise, early morning tkts are easily available. She also upgraded us to a better room, the view from the room was excellent. My wife loved the place. Some people complain about sand flies in the room, but we had the windows open all night with no bites. Te Anau is a great location for visiting the sounds and the lakes.

  3 of us stayed in lovely 1 bedroom apartment. Clean, modern, fully equipped kitchen facilities, flatscreen TV with satellite channels and DVD player, nice hot shower and heaters. What we appreciated very much was the free wifi which is rare in NZ! They also kindly allowed us to leave our car in the motel carpark while we were on our Milford Cruis... what people say » e. - The Manager is a smiling font of knowledge - best value-for-money tours, best place to eat, even Dad-jokes. We were 4 seniors on a fly-drive junket and our unit was very adequate. Good sized ensuite, lots of hot water, clean spacious rooms and well located in a quiet street with a nice walk to the main street.

  Great to get away from impersonal motel rooms to stay at this warm comfortable and friendly B and B. Ray the host was terrific, very helpful, and added to the relaxed feeling of the place. Breakfast was fantastic, the bed comfortable. Location was great only a block to the shore of Lake Te Anau, but unlike most of the accomodation available it was... what people say » located in a quiet residential street helping ensure a good nights sleep. Would highly recommend to others as a great place to stay. - A great place to stay a night before and night of our 2 hour amazing trip to Milford Sound. This was matched by the friendliness of our host, Ray, quality of hot breakfast, wi-fi, comfort of our room. A 5 minute walk to the waterfront and 15 minute walk to shopping and good restaurants completed a great stay in Te Anau. Mike & Carolyn Ontario - Delightful setting with all rooms named after a Shakespearean play. Rooms were large, tastefully decorated and warm, with a small ensuite and tea & coffee making facilities. The breakfast was wonderful!! Ray is the perfect host, very friendly and helpful, and a great cook attending even to the smallest details. Highly recommend this B&B.
