  It's a basic hotel, no frills, you pay for what you get. All of the reception staff were excellent: Very friendly and helpful. I arrived early and a room was made ready immediately. I had issues with TV channels and additional wifi was given as recompense. Good location, handy to some reasonable restaurants and grocery shops. Very basic kitchen items, eg no tin opener, no sink to wash plates, just bathroom basin. Very pleasant lady on reception. But good value for money and very handy to most places.

  I loved the bar downstairs with great drinks and food. The bartenders were wonderful. Particularly the handsome Paul Murdoch-Very helpful and friendly. Great location to bus stops and ferry. The rooms were small but clean. The only negative was having to carry your bags up all those stairs!!! But the sweet staff and great beer more than made up f... what people say » or it. Truly a value for the location. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Auckland. - Staff was excellent and friendly. We stayed our last night here before flying out of Aukland and were able to leave our bags behind the secured bar for several hours while heading out to spend our last day in the city. With the first micro brewery in Aukland, and the incredible old architecture of the building it's worth spending a night here whether it's your first, last or for a few days in Aukland.

  I like the room decoration of this boutique hotel. In the afternoon while I stayed, the bird's song filled the whispering breeze when I was reading near the window besides the garden. It brought me a good mood for the day.   Our room was very comfortable. It had been recently renovated and was large. A very substantial breakfast was included in our room rate. We traveled around NZ by bus so having the bus station right around the corner was very convenient. The staff was very helpful. - Central to all of the shops, bars and restaurants.
