Our room was very comfortable. It had been recently renovated and was large. A very substantial breakfast was included in our room rate. We traveled around NZ by bus so having the bus station right around the corner was very convenient. The staff was very helpful. Central to all of the shops, bars and restaurants. Fab place for wandering around the city as its not too far from everything. Hotel room was clean but basic, good value for money. The staff were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. would stay there again.
all reviews » The location was perfect for us- right near the bus station and within walking distance of the railway station . We arrived late and had to leave early so it definitely served it,s purpose of an adequate place to sleep. We booked a cheap online price which gave fantastic value for money. The central downtown location is great for eating,shopping and shows etc. Breakfast was also great value. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the price, the simplicity, the room service/cleaners were fantastic!!! Just even small details such as lining up our shoes- which they didnt have to, did not go un noticed! They were wonderful!. Allowed very early check in no problem and baggage left for the whole day when we checked out was 10 dollars cheaper than advertised ,helpful friendly but didnt bother us staff ,all good. The staff were absolutely lovely - nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, plenty of food, coffee and tea. Bed was comfortable and the room was absolutely spotless. Smoke alarms going off at 1:30 in the morning or randomly if there is too much steam from the shower - bring some earplugs because of course you can here everything in the city. The shower was a little small. Singles beds a little thin on width. Nothing. One staff member on check out was quite rude - put my card through and gave it back and didn't say anything at all until I asked 'Are we all finished?' and he said yes - lacked basic customer service skills. However it was 4am so I can't be too critical. Room was very small and old - chipped paint and stained desk etc. Also no air con our room got very hot after one of us had a shower. Pillows a bit on the high side. Shower heads are a bit low. All good. The room is small but for the price you get its a pretty good deal. The shower is perhaps too low, but everything is clean and acceptable. put into small room no ac as requested,contacted desk, alocated new room, bigger with ac, a lot better for the rest of our stay. room was noisy outside traffic noise. Door security could have been better. Dirt would fall out of vent above toilet. Nothing. Cold showers Toilets that wouldn't flush paper LET ALONE ANYTHING ELSE. no dislikes. Wish the bathroom could be more comfortable :-). Nothing. Small bathroom sink. The lift is old. Our first room was very small (but very clean). Room was a little smaller than expected and no fridge. Small room. small room & traffic noise. Poor shower Bar always closed. Shower is small and there's a lot of noise from the traffic outside. Take earplugs. Shower area to small. A microwave in the room will be a bonus...Noise fr the street was audible esp at nigth. Wifi was affordable though shoul be made availble without the ticket voucher. There was no airconditioning and we couldn't open the windows. We had a room on the street where there were young people loudly partying until 4a.m. The room was very small with no room for luggage. at check-in the staff that was taking care of my booking was clearlly still learning wich its ok by me its just not ok that his trainer treats him badly in front of everyone. Room very very small, tiny window with view of back of another building! Single beds very light and kept moving, and with nothing else to sit on had to use them as couches. Hugely noisy. Might as well have taken a sleeping bag and slept on the street - the draughty window did nothing to filter out the noise from people on the street or traffic. the hotel was old rooms were very small and could do with a modern decoration. Warm in the room. No view?. Small room and bathroom. Some decor dated. Wouldnt pay more than what we did. Hard to find. Had no directions or parking details.

This is located adjacent to the property at Atrium Car Park located through the front of Crown Plaza Hotel. It costs NZD 21 per 24 hours, or NZD 11 for overnight parking between 17:00 and 10:00. You must purchase a parking ticket from reception. Please note that parking includes 1 entry and exit only. Carpark hours are Sunday to Thursday 06:00-00:00, Friday and Saturday 06:00-03:00. The carpark exit is located on the 4th floor in a lift through the Crown Plaza Hotel, there is no direct access from the carpark to the property. If you require access to your car between 17:00 and 10:00 please inform the property before you proceed to the carpark. Height restriction is 1.9 metres. Please note that this property has a strict 'No Party Policy'. Failure to comply with property policies may result in the eviction of guests and the loss of any deposits or payments made.
