The local restaurants were touristy and uninspiring, but we found some excellent restaurants in the old town, which is about 20 minutes' walk from the hotel.   The owner was very nice and helpfull, position is great, very close to the center, but you always find car parking. Nearby you have supermarket and good restaurants. - The balcony overlooking the sea and views of the town and harbour. We could walk to the town and facilities. The shop was well stocked with what we needed.

  We had an excellent time at Yacinthos. We were treated like a family from the very start, and got a big hug at goodbye. The staff was very helpful, providing everything we asked for.   We received a very warm Cretan welcome from Kiria Chryssa and her daughter Galia who spoke excellent English. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, fresh towels and cleaning were provided every other day and we had fresh sheets in the middle of our stay. I hope her plans for restoration of the rest of this mansion are fulfille - Everything! We stayed in the maisonette and it fitted the bill perfectly, all facilities provided. Our hostess went beyond the call of duty and her staff could not have been more pleseant and obliging. The location was perfect for us to explore the town without having to walk miles and bearing in mind we were there for the Easter celebrations we were in a fairly quiet area.
