This is a wonderful place. With the most perfect location just a few steps to the beautiful sea - perfect for lots of swimming in a quiet and tranquil environment. The accommodation overlooked the main town on the island and was within easy walking distance of the town and ferry for Dubrovnik and other islands. The apartment has a sea view balcony in the main bedroom and a terrace in the garden. Kitchen was well equipped with all you would need for cooking your own food. We were there just on the edge of the season so were slightly limited eating out but ate at a great beach cafe in the other village most days. There are loads of paths all over the island

We were greeted as soon as we arrived. we were early but our room was vacant and we were allowed in . This was greatly appreciated as we had driven a long way have small children. The room was very nice and clean, the view was lovely from the balcony. Our kids adored the swimming pool and there was a nice sunbathing and bbq area.

No more than a ten minute walk to the beach or supermarket. These are both up/down a hill depending on if you are coming or going but it is a steady slope so it was more than ok.
Small pool but big enough to cool off, lovely terrace over looking the bay.
We actually paid in euro, i think there was a choice between euro or kuna.
We set a budget for the holiday and Villa Arka matched it, not 5 star but suited us just fine due to cleanl

The simplicity, however is highly compensated by the attention of the owner, Ivan. He makes everything to make the guests comfortable. In 2+ weeks in Croatia where we stayed mainly in "sobe" (rooms in private houses), this was the only one that came with breakfast, and a very good one at that. We could also buy dinner. The dinner we had, fresh sea bass, was one of the best we had in the entire trip. The location is on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic, fantastic views from private balconies, and trails to hike nearby. It is not near a town or city, so you need a car to get there, and plan to be isolated from city life, etc. wh

Next to saplunara beach (for us, one of the loveliest beaches in all of croatia). The aparment was tidy, on ground floor, but very confourtable. Has parking area near by. Dont be put off when Mr Pavlic asks for your passports in a very rudimentary english- it's necessary for registry in Croatia, and he will give them back to you the next day.

Everything was even much better then announced in Internet :) We liked our host very much, and the appartment was realy comfortable, clean, very quiet during the night. The appartment is in the heart of the old city, so everything was within maximum 5 minutes walk. It was very nice to take a walk also later in the night through the old streets of Korcula.
