Opatija Hotels

Great value for money we had 10 days the hotel needed a bit of tarting up in places but overall we felt like we had stayed at 4 star accomodation rather than 2 star, the decor was fab, rooms clean and the staff could not have been more attentive and welcoming. The hotel food was fabulous good choice and nice quality to match. Lovely indoor pool with mosaic design and a quite terrace with a couple of sun loungers where you could sit quietly and get stuck into a good book or sip a drink. En - Rachel

We returned today from Opatija and the Hotel Admiral. It is located at the edge of the town and a 2 minute stroll to the shops and cafe bars/restaurants. The hotel is 4star and deservedly so. It is very clean, the double room we stayed in was very spacious with free safety deposit box and airconditioning. A large balcony with remote controlled canopy overlooked the marina and had far reaching sea views. We took our own kettle and tea bags which I would advise if you like a drink when you wake up - Bob

We only had time to stay in Opatija for 1 night. Glad we decided to stay at the Hotel Savoy. The location is idyllic with all the rooms looking over the Adriatic, and a private beach (albeit concrete) for soaking up the sun. But the BEST PART was definitely the friendly front desk staff. They were very accommodating, easy to talk to (even though we just got off the plane and didn't speak a lick of Croatian), and friendly. Hopefully we'll make it back to Opatija soon - and we'll definitel - Andrew

The hotel is well appointed from the foyer all the way to the rooms. The front desk staff are welcoming and helpful. We only intended to stay for 1 night but extended our stay to 2 nights because of how impressed with the surroundings we were. Our room rate included half board. Both the breakfast and dinner buffet provided an array of food to rival any buffet anywhere.The kitchen staff ensure the food on offer is always fresh and plentiful. Having had a very busy year, we were looking for somewhere to relax and chill out. The Ambasador, with its very attentive & helpful staff, and its supreme location, fitted the bill perfectly. The rooms are adequate, very clean, air conditioned and, as ours was on the sea front, with a great view of the bay and the town-overall, great value for money. The Lunge Mare, the seaside promenade which hugs the sea for 12,13 or 14 kms depending on which guide book you read, provides perfect access to - Peter

This villa is at once cozy and extravagant, has beautiful views of the surrounding area, and is quietly removed from the bustle of town despite being a stone's throw from entertainment. Our hosts made us feel more like friends or family than clients - as warm, inviting, and helpful as one could hope, and without ever becoming bothersome or intrusive. The grounds are gorgeously maintained, and guests are fairly free to roam throughout. The views alone from the balconies and the pool are enough - Dhaval

The location of this 3-star hotel is excellent, just a few mins walk from the centre of the town and access onto the promenade that stretches some 12 km along the coast. Reception staff were excellent and always ready to help with queries and trips. Breakfast is the typical buffet arrangement with quite a lot of selection - but always the same. breakfast could be taken on the terrace overlooking the sea - a great start to the day. We booked this hotel sight unseen. The location is perfect for day trips to anywhere in Istria. We were on the road side on the 4th floor. Every morning we viewed the Adriatic, who really cares about the noise of the street when you overlook such beauty. Breakfast was typical European, serve yourself and eat only what looks good to you. Staff was as pleasant as could be and gave us info on customs in Croatia, locations, etc. Clean and perfect size room. Hotel bar was accomodating for relatives t - Mark

Before staying in hotel Istra, I have seen some bad comments about it online (I attended a conference in Opatija so I didn’t mind staying there). To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised – the hotel location is great, it is directly on the seaside and near the city centre. The room was clean and spacious, for breakfast you can choose from a variety of dishes and the reception desk personnel were very professional. The only problem was the parking, which is a problem in Opatija in general. Accord - Jens
