I originally booked the West Beach Inn, but I read so many good reviews
about the Harbor House Inn that I cancelled my original reservation at
West Beach Inn and booked Harbor House. Upon arrival I was pleasantly

Check in was super easy and relaxed. There was a delicious breakfast
basket welcoming us, which included fresh baked banana bread! The
location to the beach/marina is excellent. Bikes were available for
us free of charge, and that made getting around town super easy. It made
going to the Farmers Market an extra pleasure. (Beach towels available
too!) We stayed in Room 116c, which has a beautiful king size bed,
fireplace, lovely hardwood floors and a spotless bathroom. For

We stayed for 2 separate 3/4 night periods - first on our own room (102) and then in a different room (San Miguel suite) while our son was in 214 for that later stay.
Breakfast was lovely - served to table and fresh "special" daily as well as usual menu items.

In a quiet area compared with the State St hotel we have stayed at before. -
Fabulous place, and a great price. It is comfortable, clean, on a quiet street 2-3 blocks from the beach. I appreciate that it doesn't have lots of bells and whistles (that I don't like paying for), but all the necessities to be comfortable and relax. Nice breakfast included (yogurt/granola, or an egg dish, which changes daily; with fruit, juice, coffee/tea). Staff are very responsive and friendly.

Very nice small Inn. Nice continental breakfast included. Great wine/cheese and fruit treat in the afternoon. Helpful staff. Free bicycles for 4 hours is great. Great cycling along the coast. It is a question of expectations. If you are expecting a Spanish or Italian style villa directly located on the beach, then this hotel will not meet your expectation (but we guess no hotel in this price-range would meet them). All in all the hotel turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip.
The on-site parking was very convenient. -
It was a wonderful place to stay! We arrived around 6:00PM just in time for wine and cheese hour....there was an assortment of cheeses and there were I believe at least two to three wines from local winery's to try. We were upgraded to a suite which was spacious. At around 7:00PM there was a delicious smell lofting in the air which was coming from the lobby....it was cookies, milk, hot cocoa, coffee and tea. Room overlooked the pool and beach. beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. we were supposed to have a city view but don't think we would have liked those rooms so glad we were in the rooms we were in. Be sure to go to the Lark restaurant 3 blocks from the hotel!!! -

Nice location, right by the harbor and Stearns Wharf. We had a lovely view from the balcony overlooking the harbor. The wine and cheese in the afternoon was a nice touch and the heated pool and jacuzzi were good. The breakfast was also good and they kept making sure they refilled any of the items. Beds were comfy.
