We were given a complimentary upgrade due to it being our anniversary. ONLY because the clerk asked us if there was a special reason. Very friendly and personable clerk! The location, ambience, delicious breakfast , and excellent service. We brought our bikes to cycle while there. They stored them, gave us bottled water, brought them out for us, put them back in storage, brought them out at the end of our stay. Over-the-top amazing!! -

We would highly recomended this place! The location is very beautiful and Idyllic and perfect for totally relaxed holidays. The reception staff is very welcoming and helpfully. Charming setting, amidst an enchanting neighborhood. The beach, just a
block away was stunning. Close to the beautiful Pacific Coastline,
restaurants and Hwy 1. The room was lovely along with the setting of
the entire Inn. Gorgeous gardens. The staff was wonderful and extremely
courteous. And... The breakfast was beyond my expectations. I would not
only recommend The Colonial Terrace to friends, but would like to
return again.

Me and my lady wanted to take a romantic. Adobe inn more than exceeded my expectation. The staff was very accommodating. We stayed for two days, the room we had was nice but didnt have a view of the ocean the first day. We came back from a walk from the oceab and noticed some ocean view rooms were vacant, Sergio( one of the managers) let us change rooms for the second day!! No one does that!! I WILL BE GOING BACK! Really helpful receptionist answered all my questions when I arrived late at night. He gave me a lovely room. Very clean and modern but also cosy. Nice continental breakfast too. Overall, it was a nice experience. Room was comfortable and pretty. Back deck/fire pit area was nice for drinking wine and eating dinner. Tom at the front desk did his best to make our stay a first class experience. Great location, 15 min walk from beach and outside of main tourist area, made up for little inconveniences.

Perfect location close to the beach and the shops & restaurants around Ocean Ave.; cute B & B with several cottages and several nice places to sit outside.
Some rooms have a fireplace, during our stay of 9 nights we lived in 3 different rooms, all rooms are lovely decorated.
Delicious complimentary breakfast and afternoon refreshments.

The inn keeper Greta is a sweetheart. She was attentive, friendly and personable.
The inn's distance from the main Ocean Ave traffic made it very quiet, yet it was close enough to all major attractions.
Excellent afternoon snacks and good breakfast.

We were in Carmel for a wedding and the staff was very accommodating to
our hectic schedule. My wife was called upon last minute to go help her
sister the bride and we had our breakfast delivered to the room promptly
upon request. Our room was nice and quiet and close by plenty of

The breakfast is simple and could offers more options, but thats pretty common among hotels from this level. The hotel has parking included, what gives us more confort. We had a very pleasant stay there! -
