  The room was very clean and had been updated. It was obvious that the owner took pride in keeping the facility well-kept. He had flower boxes on the exterior to give it a more homey and welcoming look. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings in good repair. The location made trips into Monterey very easy. We would stay there again if we should... what people say » ever go to the Monterey area. - i loved everything. i grew up in monterey county and moved to san luis obispo county. everytime i go up north i stay there and i would recommend it. the staff are super nice, friendly, and easy-going. some places i've stayed at they were rude and acted as if they want you to leave. here they act like they are happy to have you stay. its quiet, clean, and really affordable.

  It is a classical american Motel. I got a clean room, a clean good bed and a clean bathroom. In the room there was also a small fridge.It was quiet and I slept well. The manager just told me: Do not th - The bed was so comfortable! We were set all the way to the back of the parking lot, so it was very quiet. I actually had one of the best nights' sleep I've ever had in a hotel! It was so affordable, and there was even a breakfast included! The owner/operator was very attentive, and even boiled water for me in his own kitchen and brought it out. We will definitely come back every time we visit the area.

Breakfast was great, it included chocolate muffin, blueberry muffin, waffles, 4 kinds of cereal, pastries, coffee/juice, bread, bagel. The room itself is also very comfortable. I think the room is pretty sound-proof. Bed and blankets are also comfortable and clean. Its worth the money and the stay was great! Would come back again if I visit Monterey. The location is very closed to Carmel, 17 mile drive.

Also nice to have a coffee machine in the room even though you can get some in the morning from the free breakfast, which is always nice. I will buy one of those waffle irons some day! The pool is a great temperature.

  The location of this hotel is incredible, right on the beach with a restaurant on the top floor. We watched dolphins playing in the waves as we chowed down on amazing pancakes and eggs benedict. Staff super helpful and friendly, especially Luis, even when we asked for room - Their location is right on a beautiful beach with uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean - it's fantastic! The hotel is also well designed to allow views and access to the ocean all throughout the facility. This Best Western truly takes advantage of its prime location. Also it is very conveniently located right off the Highway 1, and is just outside of Monterey so the beach is primarily for hotel guests!

  Honestly, the value was great and it served it's purpose. - Oakhurst is a very good location from which to explore the southern part of Yosemite and Bass lake country. The hotel is conveniently located and fair in all respects, no surprises in either direction.
