The room was very clean and had been updated. It was obvious that the
owner took pride in keeping the facility well-kept. He had flower boxes
on the exterior to give it a more homey and welcoming look. The bed was
comfortable and the furnishings in good repair. The location made trips
into Monterey very easy. We would stay there again if we should ever go
to the Monterey area.
i loved everything. i grew up in monterey county and moved to san luis obispo county. everytime i go up north i stay there and i would recommend it. the staff are super nice, friendly, and easy-going. some places i've stayed at they were rude and acted as if they want you to leave. here they act like they are happy to have you stay. its quiet, clean, and really affordable.all reviews »
Was the perfect place and hotel. Everything about the room was fantastic and well decorated. Comfortable beds, pillows, and great location. Will recommend to anyone. TV, Microwave, refrigerator and all was great. Will definitely stay here again.
the room was really nice and the staff really friendly,, the continental breakfast was the best part to wake up to after a long trip on the road.. stayed there on my honeymoon ,, would definitely stay again.. and its only 2 blocks from the beach.
Everything was there which includes iron, hair dryer, microwave, frig,
clean bathroom...feels like home! Oh if you like Belgian Waffles for
breakfast come in get them here fresh.
The room was good for the price would stay there again shopping just
around the corner. Only about 3 miles from San Carlos State beach. With
fast food as you come or go there.
place is always clean. staff is excellent. been going to sand castle for 30 years. stay there every trip to monterey. will continue to go there.

It had recently been remodeled. The bathrooms were recently redone and
the room recarpeted. The outside repainted with cute flowerboxes.
Clean, front desk lady gave us great instructions for where to go nearby, washing machine near the room, nice breakfast in the morning.

The people next door came home late and were talking loudly after I had gone to bed.
The remote control didn't work.
The Staff in the office were not very Pleasant and did not listen when I
told them I wanted to pay Cash and not the Card kept telling me it was
who we Booked thru was the ones who charged my Card. Plus at First did
not want to give me a Reciept said I needed to go on line,and because of
that I will not be staying there or recommend this Motel to anyone.
Bed was squeaky when making love.

For so,e reason the lights went out when I was in the shower, turns out it wasn't a big deal, everything was working when I got out of the shower.
Staff is friendly but a bit hard to understand (Indian english). I like
that though, I can image that Americans find this difficult to
understand.
Morning breakfast did not have enough tables and chairs for everyone.
It was not in a great area.
