The staff was very friendly and welcoming despite our late evening arival. The room was very clean and the furnishing gave were excellent. The bathroom was clean and modern. Darlene was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and offered some great ideas for what to do, where to shop, where to eat, and where the locals go for fun. The Lodge offered discounted tickets to the Mansions and passes to the art museum. The breakfasts were fantastic, and it was nice to chat with the other guests during breakfast to hear what they were doing during their stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Ivy Lodge.

Service was excellent, friendly and attentive front desk and concierge--available at all hours. The front desk upgraded me to a larger room with morning sun. The bed was very comfortable, firm with a mountain of soft pillows.
Good, fast (and complimentary) wireless.
Fitness room was empty at 5:30 a.m. easily accessible and with towels and bottled water.

Stayed on 1st Fl Rm 105. Hotels location was a plus being so near Thames Street & waterfront. The underground garage was great since our car was secure while we walked all over Newport. This place was located in a perfect spot! Two blocks from the center of town. The building had such character and the rooms a beautiful mix of the old with the new. The staff was so helpful and friendly ( especially Jo!)! Awesome view from the top deck of the water. Lots of nice little touches....soft robes, fluffy pillows, good-nite note w/ gummy bears instead of chocolates :-)! Would definitely stay here again!
