It was indeed a memorable stay for two weeks at this motel. Both Mr Sean
and Mr Jake were too good a person to take care of their guests and they
made my stay very smooth. Room facilities were enough to take care of
one's daily need and so conveniently located that you are so near to
downtown and hence all the tit bits alongwith.all reviews
The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. And the rooms were
actually very clean. Facilities were minimal as were the amenities, but
if all you need was a bed at a reasonable price, you got to the right
place. Close to downtown Rapid City. Nice breakfast area. Decent free
Wi-Fi and lots of Cable Channels.
My husband became ill & was hospitalized during our stay. The staff was extremely accommodating to me & allowed me to extend my stay with no issues. They frequently checked on his & my well-being during the stay & repeatedly offered their help in any way I needed.
The location right downtown is very desirable as there is much to do and see in Rapid City and one can walk for much of it. Also just a few blocks from all roads leading to the sights of the Black Hills. Not fancy or anything, but very good value for the money.
Good location, walking distance from town center, shops & restaurants. The rooms are well equiped, people friendly. We stayed twice and each time was nice. Very convenient to visit the Black Hills, close, quiet and money good value.
We stayed in the family room and it was a great fit for us and our kids. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and the breakfast. It was clean and comfortable. Although an older motel, we had a great stay. I would definately stay again.
We were looking for a simple clean budget hotel. This hotel was perfect. The room design is great .. it seems a like a New York studio suite. The staff ensured the safety of our car and room with a GREAT security system.
Everyone was extremeley friendly. From the person at the front desk, to the housekeeping staff!, The location was perfect!, The room had a mini fridge, and microwave, bathtub with a shower. Worked out for my family!.
Close to the downtown nightlife, which made it fun. Cost effective relative to other motels in that part of town. Very helpful staff. Rooms are old, but in decent condition and reasonably clean.

Half of the year it is closed due to winter and that is bad.
Maybe just a pinch too pricey for the location and what you get after
seeing some of the new places available in Keystone. About 20 minutes
from Mount Rushmore, so there is a bit of a drive, but its not too bad.
Location looks a little bit sketchy, but it is across the street from
the police station. Parking lot was tight and very packed. No fan in
the bathroom.
The area is a little run down but will felt safe.
The pressure on the shower was really light, and the wall unit ac needed a bit of tweeking, but it worked out fine.
The wireless internet connection was not terribly stable. I kept getting knocked off, and I actually had to do some work while staying there. So that was a bit frustrating. The price was low when compared to other motels in that area. But most of them are much nicer, and given the age of this motel, the price still was not what I would call a bargain. But it was the least expensive in that area, for that time of year (summer).
I know this is the Black Hills and it is a tourist area. So, paying nearly 100 USD was a bit high for the type of motel. Still, it was well managed and very clean. We would stay there again.
There was a jail across the road, this made me only mildly uncomfortable though.
The bathroom looked somewhat old and the fan didn't work the greatest. The rest of the facility was also somewhat outdated, but everything was clean and comfy.
Would have like a hair dryer in room and more updated furnishings with
more drawers for storage.

Breakfast was sparse, as I don't eat gluten the only options were bananas and yoghurt.
My only complaint would be that the shower had no water pressure to wash
hair.. And no hair dryer.
Had a small issue with parking. We drove a pickup and it was very difficult to get around the parking lot. The first night we were able to park up front by the lobby, second night just parked on the street as we came in later than the night before. It won't stop us from staying there again if in town.
The outside carpets and grounds were dirty and unkempt. Had we looked at
it before we've booked it on line we would have not stayed there.
And it would have been our loss, for the interior was good and breakfast
was Ok, too.

Rooms could use more storage - hooks to dry swimwear and towels. This is a low-budget place so bring shampoo and hair dryer. A privacy fence by the pool would have been nice.
Arriving after closing time due to flight delay (had informed motel), found that only 1 out of 2 rooms were booked by letsbookhotel.com.

Breakfast did not begin until 7:00 AM. That can be a little late for both business and tourist guests. On our trip we found most motels started their breakfast no later than 6:30 AM.
