As always if you want a good nights sleep or a night away from the kids, then you won't be disturbed at a premier. Good value and always clean, plus if your over six foot your feet aren't hanging over the edge of the bed, which is always nice! oh and its 2 metres from a nice quiet pub selling breakfast, dinner and lunch. The reception team could not have been more helpful. We did Sudbury to the sea event so canoeing 25 miles for charity. The ladies offered us complimentary breakfast as we were leaving early in the morning and even have us some of their hot chocolate to take to bed... Just like being at home! Thanks ladies! Xx.

Very friendly and helpful staff right through from reception to the cleaners. The Inn at the side provided good food at a reasonable rate with again friendly and helpful staff; we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We had a superb nights sleep - good beds. We normally stay in Youth Hostels (YHA) but this was a better sleep, better food. The premier Inn was very comfortable with friendly staff making you welcome. Room standard was excellent. Meals were very good. We would definitely stay here again. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We have never stayed in a hotel as clean as this hotel.Thank you to all the staff. An empty fridge/ minibar wouldn't go a miss but... I'll survive for the price. Slightly daft but the parking was a bit on the tight side, not much room to get luggage or children in and out of the vehicle. We had no dislikes. Car parking near to hotel entrance was limited. Nothing. The price of Premier Inns if you include breakfast I now feel is expensive compared with some of the independent hotels and B&Bs. I just have to find one near Colchester!!. Rooms not really family size as expected , more like an extra folding bed added. In room Televisions could be updated. Nothing. No problems. TV had only one channel working. Was told we couldn't have a cooked breakfast because of too many bookings!(never had this before at any premier inn..) Lady at reception was annoyed and she went to talk to resturant staff and sorted out a breakfast for us..I wish we took her name because she cared and our stay would have been spoilt if it wasn't for her. Having to go outside for breakfast. Wifi should be free not just for 30mins. Signage NOT visible from road, trees obscuring sign, causing us to miss hotel. Think the walls must be paper thin as we were asked twice to keep the noise down and all we were doing was talking no music or TV. It did put a damper on a good evening. that at the restaurant anything with minced beef was off the menu. Some way from Town Centre. Couldn't close the sliding door of the bathroom. there was no phone in the room the meals at the pub were a bit hit and miss. The signage needs to be more prominent as it was hidden by trees. The furniture & bed were, for us, uncomfortable (to hard) The small amount of beverages (tea & coffee) supplied, Only 1 cup of coffee & 1 cup of tea each. If more required you had to go to reception, which for us was a rather long walk. The bed was rock hard and the curtains were not long enough to shut out the light when the sun came up at about 6am. Thermostat noise waking me up as it kicked in... Throughout the night.
