The hotel is in a really quiet area, but is still close enough to the centre of Amsterdam, the tram stop is about five mins away or to walk would probably take avout an hour, but its only about fifteen minutes walk from the Vondlepark.   The apartment was big enough. Good location, close to restaurants and shopping zones. A direct tram to the central station, 6 stops only. Canal view. Fully equipped kitchen. The host was kind to propose in advance another address instead of the one mentioned in initial booking (because of the noize due to nearby renovations)
