Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the
Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi,
also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day.
As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size
didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn
met those very well. The restaurant is excellent. The staff very
friendly and helpful. Although there is no elevator, staff will carry

Everything you need is there. The room is very cozy and clean. The bathroom looks very new. The whole place is very spacious for a couple. It would be perfect for longer stay as there's full kitchen in the suite and washing machine and drier which was very handy after being in the rain.

This place was great! We had our own suite with private bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen-like area and our own entry-way. The breakfasts were amazing! Great fresh fruit, homemade scones, hearty egg entrees, etc. Darlene was a wonderful hostess and so accommodating. Oh, and her home overlooks the sea! What a lovely view in a great quiet

Darlene was very friendly and accommodating. She especially went out and bought gluten free bread so that I could have toast with the delicious breakfast she serves. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean and very well stocked. The entire house was clean and very attractive. We were not able to appreciate the garden as it was November when we stayed, but we did enjoy the birds which came to feed outside the breakfast room window. We enjoyed our stay!

I often need a motel in this area and I travel on a budget with two small dogs. We are considerate travelers (the dogs don't mess up the room and I pick up their waste) and expect the same from the places we stay. This motel had everything we needed, was clean and didn't over charge for the dogs. The check-in was easy and I will use it again. -
