  Front desk staff were very efficient and helpful, they even offered to help me carry my stuff up to the 2nd floor as the elevator doesn't service the 2nd floor. We were able to check in early and go for a long bike ride prior to actual check in time. Parking lot was clean (other than renovation furnishings), check in/out staff were helpful, and location was very central for our purposes.

  After booking and receiving confirmation, we finally arrived in the evening hours of July 31, 2013. Initially, we were made aware, that the hotel was fully booked out, but the friendly hotel staff was searching for an alternative for one night. For the remainder of our stay, the extremely friendly mana - The hotel is well located, close to Tofino, but on the park side of it. A handy feature is that the hotel includes boat tours at a discount for whale-watching and to the hot springs, which was advantageously priced for customers. The room itself was more than a room, but really a suite, equipped with a king-sized bed. There was a stove, and a fridge, and a little porch where one could eat. The only front staff that was working at that time was extremely friendly and helpful. The 5:30 AM continental breakfast and courtesy shuttle to the airport were much appreciated.

  Great and Helpful Staff. Very close to the water and in the core of Tofino. It was the perfect location for my stay (attending a local wedding 5mins away). Room was very clean. Price was very fair given the location (co-op food store is right across the street, water and pier are half block away, bank on corner, post office on adjacent corner,... what people say » liquor store is right behind the hotel, many great restaurants all within a 5min walk). Coffee is on from 0800hrs to 1100hrs daily. Schooner Pub is - We arrived very late - 11-45pm. The office had closed at 8-30pm and so we were unable to check in. However, the keys to our room were left for us to collect. Very good service.

  The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was great for someone with allergies, because there is no carpet, only nice flooring. Full size table was great - Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had reserved a suite and got more than expected: three bedrooms, full kitchen, living room and dining room. We were three adults, one 9 year old and one thirteen year old, so it worked well for us. It is an easy 15 min. out of the city of Victoria, with a grocery 2 min. away, so was convenient for us. Good place for a multiple night stay. Highly recommend it.

  Friendly, helpful staff Close to airport for early flight! We left hotel at 530 a.m. Wake up call happened as planned, taxi on time ordered by staff and coffee in room and muffins available to take on road - Location is close to Butchart and easy from Sidney and Ferry if you have a car. This is the reason why we selected this place.

  We were able to park directly outside our room. It was a quiet room, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very generous! I would definitely stay here again. Did not have time to try out the swimming pool. - Staff friendly.. lobby clean and cozy..

There was a living room with cable tv, a small kitchenette with fridge, stove, and utensils (including a real cast-iron frying pan!), and a bathroom and bedroom. The place was quiet despite being close to a main street (Gorge Road). I did not have a vehicle, but was easily ... what people say » able to walk the 1 km to a supermarket and the somewhat longer distance to downtown Victoria. There is city-bus service just on the street in front of - We were a group of 14 people staying in this motel for one night. Everyone in the group was satisfied for the amount we paid. Despite some of the reviews we read before saying that there's a bad smell around, non of us had such an experience. Maybe we were lucky, or the problem has been solved somehow. Choose this motel if you can't afford a luxury hotel, yet you want a clean place to stay at for some nights. Cheers, Mahyad
