Hotel was great, the room was immaculately clean with nice
bathroom/shower. The house keeping staff were very pleasant they did
your room every day and we had clean towels every time we Requested
them. We were there 11 days and the sheets were changed 3 times. We
thought the hotel was good for the money only downside is that your view
was of other rooms to the hotel but it wasnt bad. The hotel was Located
very well to get to everywhere. It had its own food place on the Main
level And there was . all reviews
very convenient location.
close to bridge, opera house etc
Channel 7 Prime studios, one of our highlights was seeing the crew from Sunrise in Martin Place. bistro in complex which served lovely big meals at a great price. The Roast beef was beautiful, and the wedges were in a huge bowl!! also convenience store close by. airport shuttle organised and suitcases stored all day. friendly staff.
we have book a room with small kitchen. Although we can just cook food by microwave, there are enough tools such as fork spoon plate and cup. The modern style room is very tidy and clean. the location is near to each touries spot. u can book a shuttle bus at here so tht u can save more taxi fee. My mother like it very much~.
The location is very good 5~10 mins from St. James station to the Travelodge, and very quiet.
The first day when I arrived, I found that the ventilation system of bathroom doesn't work. However I was told that I can move to another new & nicer & bigger room. That made me very happy and gave me nice experience.
We loved that we were at the Travelodge and the NSW leagues club at the same time. The location was also very convenient and it was a pleasure. Can't wait to go back there after our cruise on 7th Sept for another 3 days of luxury before we return to adelaide (home) Pam and Kerry.
The location is superb, close to all main attractions of Sydney. On the
6th floor there's a coin-operated washing machine and a tumble dryer
($3,00 for the washing machine and $3,00 for the dryer). Very
convenient! Special thanks to Niky at reception, very helpful!.
Tl is in the heart of the city with all basic amenities including guest
laundry and drier. Right on the next street there is a free bus that
takes you all around the cbd.most attractions are walkable and the
nearest metro station is less than 50 meters away.
Very good location, close to Shops, Galleries, Botanic Gardens, Hyde
Park.Nice walk to Circular Quay, Opera House and Rocks. Fantastic for
transport, train stations to Bondi & airport only 2 minutes away.
Staff were very friendly and courteous.
The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable with nice clean crisp linen.
The shower had lots of hot water and nice soft clean white bath towels.
All the staff were very friendly and most helpful.
Would certainly stay here again.
this place was brilliant and just what we needed for a group of 10 'mature' rugby fans in town to watch the Lions 3rd test!Staff very friendly and helpful, location was spot on right in the centre rooms great and clean, no negatives at all.
Perfect location, just in the center of the city. If you do not choose because of the location, you must choose it for the restaurant downstairs, not fancy but it is the best value for money a traveler can dream of. It counts, does not it?.
Staff very helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is basic but very comfortable and excellent value for money. The position was perfect for getting around Sydney on foot and transport options were numerous.
My mum and I stayed I was very surprised in a good way with the friendly staff and the room we stayed in wow nice and comfy. The wonderful staff member she was fantastic didn't mind showing us on the map how to get to King Wharf.
The staff @ the Travelodge were by far the most helpful and friendly of any people we crossed paths with during our short stay. On arriving the desk clerk couldn't be more helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble.
The staff we attentive, helpful and extremely friendly and our privacy was respected.
The hotel was very clean and enjoyed having access to the leagues club downstairs.
Thanks for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
I loved the location of this hotel. It was close to shopping,
restaurants, the train station, and the heart of Sydney. The staff was
very friendly and helpful. There was free wifi in the cafe area which
was great.
Great price in the City on a Saturday night. We were there for the Blackmores running event and it was perfect. We will book in again for next year. Staff were very helpful and public transport is right outside.
The hotel is nicely located and at walking distance to qvb, townhall, wynyard, the rocks, circular qua. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Rooms neat and clean and pretty spacious. Totally value for money.
Location is excellent, close to major shopping centres, art gallery, parks, rail & bus and an easy walk to Circular Quay.
Hotel Bistro serves basic "Club Food" but quite a good menu and reasonably priced.
The location was exellent for my needs. Close to restaurants. The
Inhouse bistro was good and cheap. The breakfast service was good value
for money ahnd the discounts in the club for gueats was a bonus.
We liked the location, within walking distance to lots of tourist attractions. We arrived early and were able to book into our room really early so that was great. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Staff very friendly, arrived at 7:30AM from the US. Lee I believe his name got us in a room right away. Everyone was helpful. Location was excellent for strolling around City Center.
Location + Location = location, and I agree with other comments, the restaurant downstairs is inexpensive and good, not to mention the assortment of beers. An ideal city trip.
The staff were amazing! We had a lost suitcase which they helped get back for us and because we were relocating to Sydney they answered and helped us with lots of situations.
Value for money and location perfect. Adequate for an overnight. Will use again. Luckily our room had a quiet air conditioner and was in a quiet spot of the hotel.
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Clean and comfort room. Very quiet room. Very close to the train to the airport at James st. Would definitely stay there again.
Loved that on the bottom floor there was a bar with gaming facilities. Loved that it was in between Pitt Street mall and The Rocks. Was easy to walk to both.
Convenient location for main city sights. Clean, attractive rooms.
Bistro & Thai on 1 had good food, competitively priced. An excellent
stay for us.
the access to Sydney, shops, darling harbor. Circular quay, city to surf start line.MAGNIFICENT. We will be back for our 4th year next year.
The staff were amazing and nothing was to much trouble...the location was the best ..close to everything and transport at your door.
Rooms were of a good size, staff were really helpful and friendly, location was very central and handy to public transport links.
Location
Convenience of parking
Convenience of on site economical bistro
Review needs another class- we were mother and daughter.
Even though the hotel is right in the CBD, Phillip Street was quiet (this was Saturday - Sunday).
Everything was nice and clean.
Being able to use the NSW League Club and was great having the Bistro Cafe. Walking distance to shops, Opera House, Rocks etc.
We found the Hotel Clean and Comfortable. A very Convenient location. Helpful staff.Cafe on premises. Am happy to recommend.
Really liked the location. We could walk easily to everything. Room was comfortable and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful.
convenience to public transport
previous stay in courtyard room very quiet
very handy having restaurant in club.
friendly on arrival- able to leave bags at desk after check out, great kitchenette if staying a couple of days.
The location was very good, downtown and close to everything without being right in the CBD and traffic noise.
Great location close to train stations and the shops. The reception staff could not have been more helpful.
Great location with easy access to public transport, shopping, sightseeing and public parks and gardens.
Great location for those who came to the city for a short trip. We had walking distance to everything.
Well placed for exploring the city, close to all transport links and amenities.
Staff were fantastic.
The convenient location near the city and public transport. Reasonable value. Microwave, plates etc.
A good quality hotel in a great location. The staff were helpful, the rooms were clean and tidy.
Very convenient location
Friendly and helpful staff
Affordable meals and drinks at Leagues Club.
The fact that major attractions are a short wall away and rooms have microwave oven and sink.
Great room and loved the facilities.
Great location and close to all transport.
Will be back.
Beds excellent, staff friendly and helpful, location excellent. Bistro good value for food.
Decent sized room, helpful and friendly staff, good facilities in the room for a traveller.
No.
The charge for internet. Bathrooms could do with a spruce up.
Small room but worth the money.
A lot of building work going on around the area, Jackhammering/
vibrating all through ther day & night. I was on the 9th floor and
kept awake most of the Sat night by the nightclub playing thumping Drum
& Bass/House music. Do not stay on the Elixzabeth St side, I
would hate to have been on a lower floor. That's the only complaint,
I did not get a single good nights sleep out of three and I am
completely deaf in 1 ear and wear an aid in the other, the vibrating was
relentless.
The pillows were a bit thin but there was an extra pillow if required. Only having one case table (holder) was a bit difficult as the other case had to remain on the floor.
Our view out of the window looked out onto other bedrooms so we didn't feel comfortable in having the curtains open.
The lift swipe card to access our floor was a little tempramental.
nothing to complain about.
No negatives.
We had the breakfast in the hotel and I got very sick from it.
We found the majority of people we dealt with regarding our business in Sydney quite rude and not helpful at all. I realise that sometimes if you don't know what you are doing or what you want to order it can be frustrating to those around you but I got the distinct impression that visitors such as us were simply a nuisance! Therefore it was great to have a friendly helpful person at the Travelodge.
TV reception was not very good and limited access to free to air channels.
A toaster in the room would be great but i understand there is fire safety concerns.
None. It's perect.
Lack of functioning air-conditioning in our room during a period of very hot weather detracted from our room comfort and caused sleep deprivation!.
There was noise from construction work going on at the courts over the
road but not excesive.
the lack an cost of car parking would be a problem but did not effevt me.
We didn't really like that the shower just had a shower curtain, that is a bit dated, also the bath towels were a bit on the small side, other than that all was good.
It is not a place if you want food and drink outside the hotel itself. Some homeless but not an issue. For the price I can walk 15 minutes for food and drink.
Nothing to report.
Nothing not to like.
That we were given a disabled room which meant the shower flooded the bathroom floor everytime.
Ran out of water in vending machine on nite of city to surf. Maybe should have plenty for dehydrated runners next year.
Going home..:(.
Bed was firmer than I would have liked, bathroom tiles were a little mouldy (grout) and the location, while central, was a little seedy from the outside, especially on a deserted weekend.
Only one face washer for 2 guests
No wine glasses
No separate top sheet-quilt was too hot for Saturday night.
Airconditioning in the room was quite noisy.
Couldn't complain at all.
Quite hard to find, ironically the closer you are the harder it is as the League club signage dominates everything. Also have to lug case up front steps, small ramp on steps would help as most people have wheeled suitcases.
street room noise from garbage trucks during night.
The Bistro food was very good and great value, but the area where children could sit was cramped between hotel reception and the bar, not very appealing. And it was a small area with a lot of customers while the bar was spacious and had very few customers.
In this price breakfast could be included.
Aircon struggled - although we experienced high temperatures.
The food at the hotel restaurant. We wouldn't eat there again. The noisy airconditioning unit.
The water pressure in the shower was a let down and uncomfortable.
Free Internet did not work very well , staff said it was supplied by the Bistro so they could not do anything to help. Out of date advertising for meals in the building was misleading.
recetion area and entrance a bit drab.
