As an Events Manager I had traveled from nz to organised a ladies night out for a friends birthday at the Sheraton Sydney. As soon as we walked in the doors we were treated like princesses and the service continued till we were spoilt rotten. I was raised up with lavished hotels so I have high and fussy expectations. The Executive Lounge Bar defiantly made all the difference. The rooms were well facilitated , efficient heating and cooling control, spacious with lavishing decor. The bathroom bat.
all reviews » We found the hotel to be great - its location, staff, and comfort would be hard to beat. We certainly will be returning. The room we had was a corner room that faced out to the park which was lovely and it also had a extremely comfortable bed. The full breakfast available in the dining room had everything anyone could ask for from hot porridge through to bread and butter pudding with whipped cream. All the staff we encountered were very helpful. It is situated very close to the CBD so was withi. Staff at front desk were wonderful and supplied drinks voucher whilst waiting for our reservations to come through. Booked a standard room and was above our expectations. Bathroom was beutiful and spacious. Stayed at several hotels in Sydney and this was one of the best hotels. Location perfect & Excellent value for money. Will be back again for sure and will stay for longer. The hotel is just lovely. Perfect proximity to everything. St James train station is across the road so no need to taxi from the airport. Just jump on the airport train and for a small cost you are conveniently at your hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet, huge rooms. Oustanding attention to design detail (from location of powerpoints to subtleties of decor), beautifully positioned and subtly elegant in feel, I find this hotel one of the most satisfyingly restful places in the world for a central city location. 10/10 for me!. Also - I left my phone charger in the room and whilst they found it after I called from the airport, I think it is a bit rich to charge $20 to post it to my home (domestic mail) ... the room is not a budget room after all. no comments. I accidently booked at a price that was in pounds not dollars and tried to cancel, which was not allowed. We had access to Club 21 for tea, canapés and pre dinner, drinks and breakfast. The food was nice but the coffee was terrible! Not worth the money. Paying for parking on top of the hotel stay. Staff in the club lounge were slow & unattentive. Took them a long time to clear off Tables after other guests had finished at breakfast in the club lounge so new guests could sit down. Conservatory bar looked messy & untidy. There are some mistakes, I booked two single beds and I had king bed, I had payed for breakfast when I was booked room, but two of three mornings when I had breakfast they asked me to pay, which was so annoying. Nothing I did not like!. Pool is indoor and has a very small outdoor area with a few sun loungers. That we had to leave. 3pm check in. Price of breakfast menu. Swimming pool is smaller than expected. My room view is facing a wall which is not as the name of the hotel suggest. Locker room needed a regular monitor as some guests are sloppy in cleanliness and safety issue of sauna facilities. Nothing I did not like. Price of the buffet was over the top, especially on Sunday night. We went to Jamie Oliver's restaurant instead for less than half the cost of buffet (including 2 glasses of wine!). If cost were $50 each we would have happily gone there. Needs more lighting in the room and bathroom. A mood light in the wardrobe/dressing area was a little unnecessary. Please brighten it up. Terrible pillows, expensive parking. The price of the room service food and the selection of late hrs food service past 10pm. Dine in Menu very limited. Nothing. Probably one of the better Sheraton's in the world. Pizza was ordinary. Expensive No free internet in rooms. Nothing. Pool needs to be warmer in the winter months. There was hair in our room service meals. Dining options were very over priced. Price of drinks, price of breakfast.
