Really friendly and helpful staff to match expectations for a boutique hotel. The 24hour coffee shop is great, and there are some really great eateries very close by as well. The location is excellent - one block to Town Hall train station, Market Street/Westfield shopping etc. The room was spotless. Lovely friendly staff, very nice, clean and comfortable rooms with affordable craft beer in the minibar. It felt like a nice friendly place to come back to at the end of a working day and was located very conveniently to lots of things I needed it close to. Would use Park8 again.

Hotel is within walking distance from Sydney Harbour and Darling Harbour and Hyde park. The location of the hotel are near Sydney places of interest within walking distance . Upon request the hotel provide free wifi and staff there are friendly to provide directional help when being approached . The staff were incredibly friendly and more than willing to help in any way to make our visit enjoyable. The location is perfect, the coffee and sweets in the cafe delicious and always smelled wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also liked that wireless internet was free. The location was also nice as it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to look at in the city. I stayed in a loft suite which was well designed and comfortable. Smell of cigarette smoke in room one morning, someone ignored the no-smoking rule, wifi although free, didn't work when I was there. 1. No parking close by. Had to use other hotel's parking. 2. Bathroom lock was broken. Shower sliding door could not slide. 3. Some of the wardrobe and cabinet handles were missing. Nothing!. You can hear the city noise. Windows need a upgrade. A bit more dusting and vacuuming for my standards would be my only recommendation. The rooms were a little dated. Also when we got there we found out that the elevator would be closed for maintenance while we were staying there and thus we had to carry our luggage down 4 flights of stairs when we left, but the staff helped carry them down. I was on a business trip and would have quite liked a desk / workstation in the suite. the room and especially the bathroom were a bit dark; rather noisy as our room faced park street (but coming from hong kong it wasn't a big problem for us); room amenities, though adequate, could be improved. Bathroom basic Safe didn't work - flat battery but I didn't raise concern as was only overnight My jet lag :-(. Doona was very stained. No view. Room a little small - no room for comfy chair (I'm being picky here). Not much of a foyer - wasn't really enough room for more than a couple of people at the coffee shop at a time. Couldn't open window. Not solely a hotel issue, given it's CBD location you have to expect some city noises, there was some building work in hte are that was ongoing late into the night, and could be heard - but wouldn't stop me from staying there again. Nothing. tree stumps as beside tables. Only 2 of the 8 teabags were "normal" Breakfast tea - the other 6 were herbal (Yuck!) and they weren't replaced on one day - I had to go and buy some at a nearby supermarket. Needed better lighting for reading. Fairly noisy, but its the city so you'll get that everywhere. Room was cold and heat was difficult to control. Nil. The cards for the lift replaced three times for not working. 1.5 per cent charge on paying by credit card. Roof maintenance early in morning. Had problem with air conditioning, moved to another room but had the same problem, air didn't blow. Flight was overbooked so send a message to cancel the first night and still got charge! Should have gotten a discount for malfunction air conditioning, that was 2 nights that didn't work properly!!!. Knowing there would be construction during night placed us in a room facing street. broken hot water tap and the phone not working. Being woken up early with banging from construction underneath. Sound-proof. No restaurant. Key cards did not always work. Small maintenance issues plus billed for minibar when not used. room was somewhat stuffy and dusty. Frosted windows. The 'delux' king room being situated over the main road and not having any soundproofing to the windows. The invasion of noise early morning from the builders in the neighbouring hotel. No toilet facilities in the reception area. Café area more like a snack bar. Nowhere to sit and relax and socialise with other guests. showing its age but value for money. no windows and very noisy facilities in room，room is small. overpriced, noisy bathroom fan, no window.
