The room is a great size. The view from the 12th floor was amazing. The
kitchen was small but had all the components to self cater. The
breakfast suplied had toast with butter and condiments plus cereal and
milk with fruit and juice. The hotel is within pleasant walking distance
through Hyde park to the Museum, St Mary's Cathedral, the Art
Gallery, China Town and city shopping. Buses and trains only footsteps
away. We were given a late checkout 11am on request. The parking was
tight but adequate. all reviews
Great location. If you want to get the airport train and have suitcases
then consider getting off at St James instead of Museum station if you
don't want to lug cases up loads of steps. St James station is not
far and has a lift. We had a very large, modern, comfortable family room
with qs bed, two singles and a small lounge, dining table & chairs.
The beds were really comfortable and the decor lovely. The breakfast
provided was basic but all we needed.
Well positioned, close to the city but away from heavy traffic and noise, buses at the door, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, the free-wifi was great, making up daily service of the rooms fantastic, the kitchen facilities were enough, finding something in the fridge for breakfast was ok.
We have stayed at the Hyde park inn a few times now.The main reason we
stay there is location. We like walking around Sydney we can walk out of
the motel and head in four different directions Eg,Circular Quay, darling
harbour, The cross , Oxford St. Also parking is included, and we can
smoke in our room all the ticks for us.
Checked in late & reception staff organised a late check out without asking... Staff efficient & friendly. Room spotless , asked for a balcony , fab room overlooking the park . Beds comfy , lovely kitchenette with a continental breakfast supplied in the fridge... Perfect - would highly recommend good value .
The location was AMAZING!!! close to everything!!!! including shopping & darling harbour, the staff were VERY friendly and helpful! we were able to store our luggage before and after check in! AA++ this is the place I would book next time!!! for sure!!! amazing trip loved every bit!!! I was so sad to leave!!.
Staff service is excellent. Convenient city location. Easy access to
public transportation and very good restaurants in close proximity.
Walking distance to Darling Harbour, Chinatown, and Paddy's market.
Historical Hyde Park is across the street from the hotel. Free WiFi and
decent continental breakfast.
We made this booking because of location & were extremely pleased with the set up of the room as we had our 23 yr old daughter with us, thus not necessary for another room. tariff also very good. even though we only stayed overnight between connecting flights, staff were very obliging & helpful.
Everything- size of the apartment, comfort of the beds, friendly staff, position to shops and transport, water pressure in shower, kitchen, light breakfast even used some of it for lunch as we are not big breakfast eaters. Can't talk too highly will definitely be staying again soon.
Excellent location, rooms refurbished and cleanliness impeccable. Have stayed here a number of times now and the inclusions (parking and light breakfast in your room) are fantastic and make this real value for money. Will continue to stay here as it is a great hotel in the CBD.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. We booked a family room that overlooked the park and with a balcony - double glazing worked a treat blocking the Sydney traffic noise. Comfy beds and the basic continental breakfast supplied in our room was greatly appreciated.
Very good location. Next to Paddy Market and Chinatown, cbd. Walking
distance to the Harbour (abt 30 min) Large room, view of Hyde Park,
kitchenette They let us leave our suitcases in storage in the morning.
Metro to the airport is 100 feet away which is very convenient.
Free parking in a central cbd location is very rare, the rooms were
functional with nice little touches such as a newspaper in front of the
door every morning. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Only 5mins
walk to Museum train station, and to local grocery store.
Great location, nice, spacious room with comfortable furniture, great view over Hyde Park, nice kitchenette, great with free and fast wifi, enjoyed getting the morning paper delivered. All the little things that matters to makes your stay really good and comfortable.
the view, the light self serve breakfast, decor, kitchenette, location for city shopping and all attractions and transport and the price was quite reasonable. We enjoyed our stay would consider saying again and recommending Hyde Park Inn to family and friends.
We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Modern, and light. We had three very comfortable nights. Both would not hesitate in recommending to others when wanting to stay in Sydney. Close to everything we wanted to do and see, transport was nearby too.
Deluxe suite was excellent. Nice view of park, decor and furnishing lovely and facilities e.g. kitchen excellent. Bathroom clean and nice. Could not believe how reasonable the price was considering it was central to the city. Very quiet too.
Location location location!! Great access from the airport as it is
situated directly on the rail line connection from the airport to the
city..get off at Museum. Also the 'hop on hop off' bus stops
across the park opposite the hotel.
Location and staff were very helpful with wanting directions as they
printed me out a copy with google maps so I had it in the palm of my
hand. Train station is just across the road and made an early morning
trip to the airport easy.
Very good value with a basic breakfast
which suited us ,a newspaper was also included. Location to Museum station
was a huge plus and bus services to
southern suburbs and closeness to
city shoping could not be bettered.
View over Park from balcony and from large windows over kitchenette; good sized room; close proximity to City central shopping areas and Darling Harbour; adjacent to train station access; daily continental breakfast.
We are in our 50's and had our 23yo son from New York City with
us. We loved the location, the rooms, the view of the park. Close to
the train, Darling Harbour, everything right at our door. We would
stay again.
Ideal over night stay
The room was basic but very tacfully done.
every light and room ammenities worked well
Bed comfort extremely good
Mordern look open plan which made the small room work well
Very good value.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early which was wonderful. We were within walking distance to shops, trains, entertainment and resturants.
Great location, large room and the access to a mini ktchen in the room. Staff were excellent. Room was really well appointed. 7 Eleven and food outlets close by. Walking distance to everything! Great place.
The location is ideal within Sydney central district with most of the prime attraction are within walking distance & the famous Hype Park in front of the hotel give us pleasant & lovely view.
Liked the size of our apartment, it was clean and the decor was nice. The view from our balcony was great. The location was great, close to transport and easy walking distance to a lot of places.
we loved the roominess, being able to have windows that opened, the magic toilet seat, the cleanliness, the good space in the bathroom.
The cuisine in the restaurant(service and food was awesome).
I always try to stay at the Hyde Park when I am in Sydney, usually for the night before I fly back to Canada after a business trip to Canberra. I have always been comfortable and happy there.
The view over Hyde Park was great! And the kitchen, while small, had everything I needed. Helpful staff (just remember to keep your receipt handy to get your $50 deposit refunded).
The Hyde Park Inn was our best stay in Sydney yet. The staff were brilliant, The room was bigger than expected. The price, with fee parking was a good deal. Will stay again.
Small compact but spacious at teh same time. Loved the full use of the
space and design of the room and kitchen view was calm and car park was
avialble in the hussle of the city!.
Good location, close to business & shopping area of the city. The room was spacious comfortable & very clean. Could not fault anything. Breakfast was basic but adequate.
Great location , close to the airport direct train and buses to beaches a 15 min walk to circular quay, breakfast included , and a kitchenette in the room , comfortable beds,.
Excellent view of Hyde Park, great location to all city locations, very close to all public transport and well appointed rooms with the best value continental breakfasts.
The location was great 5-10 minute walk from the hatmarket and darling harbor, Pitt street and some amazing cafes, restraunts and pubs around all within walking distance.
Great location, lovely view over Hyde Park, very happy with price for a Sydney central location. My friend and I would stay again and recommend to friends/colleagues.
I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The staff were helpful and the room was spacious and well appointed. Within walking distance to all city attractions.
The front line staff is so helpful and took initiative to advise me on where and what to do not just on the day but other offers I might get through out my stay..
Had car parking facility
Close to train station
Close to food outlets
Ideal for walking around city
quick reaction by staff when light fitting started blinking.
Location was amazing and close to all tourist icons. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was basic yet enjoyable. The views from the balcony are beautiful.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. We liked the way breakfast was provided and the food was ample.
The desk staff were very courteous and helpful.
fantastic hotel. good location, view and nice room which I had the most relaxation during my visit. definitely i will book this hotel when I comeback again.
The location was great and we loved the balcony overlooking Hyde Park.
Kitchenette was a bonus and in-room breakfast (although very simple) was convenient.
the room was very clean with cooking facilities, my children love to see their mum cooking from the bed. the breakfast provided in fridge consep eas superb.
Position, position, position!
Rooms was very spacious & comfortable.
Breakfast was fine - if you wanted a cooked breakfast there were lots of choices.
The room was so clean, and very well equipped the location was fantastic with a very nice outlook across Hyde Park, I will definitely stay there again.
Close to the CBD and Oxford Street with some rooms have nice outlook over Hyde park . Complimentary continental breakfast and newspaper a big plus.
Rooms were very spacious and clean. breakfast cereals, milk and bread were supplied daily. excellent location,10 minutes walk from darling harbour.
Location - close to city and Museum train station. Even though on main road, very limited traffic noise. Nice to have breakfast included in tariff.
The room wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived. This was later
rectified and we were compensated.
Lovely room but a little dark. The two windows needed cleaning on the
outside and the heavy blockout curtains were great for night time but
didn't pull back far enough to allow much natural light into the
room. Room service was quite rudimentary and could have been given a
little more care. Power outage in one wall on our last night meant my
phone didn't get charged.
No dislikes.
Pillows are flat. Could have better coffee.
Nothing really but we only had one night and my daughter wanted to stay longer once we saw the room.
Parking is very tight, I would have had a lot of trouble getting out of the carpark if I didn't have someone with me to direct me... but it is included in the room rate so that makes up for having to do a 65 point turn to get out!.
Nothing.
Included breakfast is inedible.
Elevator took a while to figure out, and sounded as if it was about to
come apart when used. The family room we stayed in (which has up to 5
beds) could get cramped if you had 5 people in there.
The breakfast included in the price was not to our taste but totally ok. Would have preferred a choice of dark/multigrain bread, natural yoghurt, muesli, slim milk.
The only drawback was parking. Having said that parking was only a block away, but ideally we would like on-site parking. But, happy to accept that for the price of position of the hotel to the city.
Large cockroach on the kitchenette wall..but then it is Australia after
all.. It freaked the kids out a little however!.
The only negative was the very firm
matress and hard pillows.
Could have been a bit more luxurious.
Staff were okay, not overly friendly or helpful. Complained about the
bed making one morning. Very poor effort, the pillows weren't even
put back on the bed. On two occasions we called for the elevator and a
young man with the linen trolley was in there. We couldn't fit in
and he made no attempt to move or vacate the lift so we could use it. As
guests of the hotel I thought that was a bit rude.
Front booking in staff were very poor and very disintrested, on arrival.
There was little eye contact on receiving the room key.
we felt like we were just,.. another over nighter.
Sydney is a noisy city, traffic noise was pretty loud. This is not the fault of the hotel.
Nothing.
All good Nothing that I would change.
Cleaners could have cleaned it better and changed binliners properly.
Bed side lights not working in room 505, I forgot to mention this on checking out ,.
Nothing not to like!!!!!.
N/a.
Pillows were hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.
No complaints.
the price is a bit high.
everything is fine.
Bathroom appeared to be a 'disabled' bathroom with no bathroom cabinet or surface to put anything.
Cleaning staff did not wash the dishes.
Lighting was a bit wierd with light switch near the entry door.
Hard to get a coffee on the weekend - lots of places were closed.
We have stayed at this hotel 12 times in the last 12 years. Both times that we have stayed there this year we have been met with a couple of not so friendly, apathetic staff members, bordering on rude (including some senior staff members). This has tarnished our stay somewhat and spoils it for those staff who are really kind and friendly like Luciana.
little noisy on the lower floor from the main road.
