My daughter and i stayed at Napoleon on Kent for a 5 day trip to Sydney and we couldn't of asked for a better place to stay at. The staff greeted us with kindness which is always a good start to any holiday. The room was very clean and large, the kitchen was filled with all the kitchenware one could ask for, the bed was extremely comfortable and the location was supburb, right at a stones throw to all attractions in the city. Wynyard train station and buses 5 mins around the corner. Restaurants.
all reviews » Great place to stay and will be back the next time we visit Sydney. The staff were friendly and always polite, you felt very welcome. The room had plenty of space and very comfortable. Was also great to have a kitchenette in the room. Considering the location, I thought it may have been a bit noisy but there was no noise at all!. It was very quite. Loved being so close to everything and would definitely recommend as the place to stay!. We required a one night stay at a reasonable cost. Property is a few minutes walk from the nearest railway station (which is one of the stops from the Airport)and in easy walking distance to Darling Harbour area for evening meal. Standard unit was comfortable, clean and tidy so met our needs. Was a little concerned on arrival re motor way over property and road noise however our stay was not effected by this. The staff were very pleasant, super friendly, and they was always smiling!!! Also More than happy to help with any enquires that we had. The room had everything you need and even included helpful information such As ferry timetables to start us off on our journey. It was very clean and we was very comfortable throughout our stay. The amenities were great we had our own balcony. Very comfortable lounge chairs. Great TV. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The kitchen facilities in the room were excelent. The location was spot on just where we wanted to be we walked to the Rocks & Opera house. Everything. From the service at the reception desk to the room itself to its proximity to where it was i wanted to go. i also appreciated their flexibility, when i couldnt make it to check in they were quite happy about me turning up late. many, many, many thanks guys :). The location was excellent, a short walk to circular quay and Darling Harbour and city centre shopping. The room was well appointed with everything required and more. The location is excellent, being very close to Wynyard (although a little too close to a building site, when I stayed!). My one-bed room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.It was very central, easy access to all public transport. Private and quiet at night. Laundry facilities were convenient and cheap. With a note requesting we do the washing of utensils, a teatowel would have been handy. Initially, the room smelt a bit musty, but I ran the air conditioner and it seemed to be taken care of then. The room we had was on the bottom (104). We couldn't leave the curtains open in the day very much as the street was right above us and people walking by could see in our room. Kind of felt like we were in a basement. you need a bin in the laundry area. Had to pin close the curtain to obstruct street light and people walking past.Studios are on the ground floor adjacent to footpath,no privacy. Reception closed at 4pm on a weekend?. The sign on the wall telling me to wash my dishes before leaving. I know it's apartments rather than a hotel, but at $150+ per night I don't want to have to wash my tea cups up. No restaurants close by, except by heading down into Cockle Bay. The reception Desk was closed by around 8. Massive towels Sliding balcony door was excessively hard to use. Some road works noise (not excessive) but that is not the management's fault - the area is undergoing major change to accommodate the new Barangaroo development. there was nothing not to like. Kindly remove the wheeled beds. They are uncomfortable. Our visit was very short and could honestly not dislike. Small negative maybe changing check-out to 11am might be more suitable for guests. The bed may need a replacement as we could feel the spring and it was not very comfortable to sleep in. Nothing. currently noisy at nights due to local construction site operating - short term problem. Çan't think of a thing. Nothing major to complain about and recomend the hotel to other travellers. Dirty tissues were found under the beside table. Toilet had trouble flushing. Soap was very small. Noise from nearby construction throughout the night. Room smelt very damp and it was very noticeable when you arrived back from being out. When traffic was heavy it reminded us of living at home with all the aftershocks but we knew we had booked into a hotel under a motorway so that was no surprise. The hotel has suffered from being in the middle of the Western Distributor construction; when this is finished it will be possible to walk directly to Darling Harbour under cover. Their WiFi service provider sucks - though they did get us a 100% refund when we complained. All wasgreat a slght oder in the hall on level one and no doubt ready for a makeovr in nex couple of years. None to think of. The unexpected low entry into the driveway, scraped my car twice. Heat pump was broken. Needed new part which was not forthcoming during our 3 nights there. On request a small heater was provided with the comment " being from NZ you will be used to it being a bit colder" Not helpful in 13d temps in sydney and no heating!. Bath/Shower was very small. Tall people would find it quite hard to stand in the shower. The elevator was quite slow and sounded like it needed maintenance, and there were road works going on all day and night on the roads below. Road construction over nite. The bathroom needed a few shelves. Could do with hand rails in bathroom, and better airing as the towels stayed damp. There is wifi but there is a cost, which was not so helpful. External noise (exacerbated by current works at adjacent intersection). Location - right under a motorway, but it meant that the road noise was not too bad, but the dust/soot meant you couldn't use the balcony.
