We enjoyed our stay at the Mecure hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpfull and professional. The room was clean and very comfortable. the management was exellent. Excellent room. We found all staff to be very friendly especially the concierge boys helping with directions and any other questions we had about the area. This was a great help as it was our first time in Sydney.Room was small but comfortable. Very clean. Very safe. Close to central train station. Accessible to tourist venues.Friendly staff.The convient position of Hotel - easy access to trains and buses in both directions and ease of obtaining transport to airport.Proximity to Central Station. Excellent breakfasts. Wide TV/Fox a big plus., Rooms well appointed and quiet.It was great being so close to the centre of Sydney. The staff were very helpfull and nothing was a problem.The best was that children under 16 could stay for free in the room I booked.very clean well situated hotel. rooms are spotless and a good size couldnt fault them for the view from the 10th floor either. The air condtioning would not go lower than 18 with the ultra hot days i found that poor.The only thng we weren't 100% with and was only minor was the gym. Due its size, and the many children around it made it difficult for us to use.Not fussed on the restaurant food menu- lots of pepper and chillies. Though the food was beautifully presented and every body seemed to enjoy their selection except me.Room service food was good.. I probably chose poorly within the restaurant.Could have a small bistro or coffee shop where a guest could buy a snack or quick meal other then room service.28 dollars to park for one night in their own complex where as other hotels will charge as little as 10 or nothing for 24hours. i thought this was a bit harsh...some staffs wihout patience for foreigners, such as slow down the speaking speed or repeat the sentences.at checking out at 10 AM, there was a queue of 25 persons and only 4 of the 6 counters were occupied. I went off to go for a drink first to come back a half hour later. When I complaint about it, they really handled it well and gave me the feeling to be a honered and welcome guest. My compliment.Very small and crowded lobby reception area. They tried to charge me more than the price marked in the reservation with booking.con. Some sort of construction started at 8:00am, stopped at around 8:30am when we called to complain, and re-started at about 10am. Staff were helpful, but it took two calls each time to a) have the faulty lamp in the room replaced and then b) percure a bath plug. The air-conditioning and the pipes were quite noisy.Air conditioning and lack of fresh air. check out. The internet access is too expensive. Should lower the price to be ascompetitive as other hotels. In Mercure, internet is free.Room advertised as spectacular city views. This was not true. We were on 6th floor with view of back of adjacent office blocks. We were told the latest shuttle bus that could be arranged got us to airport 4 hours before flight but when on bus the driver said thia was not true, we could have had had later bus.the cold water in the tap come like drops.
