Located just 300 metres from Central Station, Casa Central Backpackers Hostel offers affordable accommodation 15 minutes' walk from the heart of the Sydney Central Business District. The family-run hostel features free WiFi and a rooftop terrace with BBQ facilities.
The property is a 12-minute drive from the iconic Sydney Opera House.
All rooms are fitted with a work desk and a fan. All rooms offer access to shared bathroom facilities. A simple breakfast is available for guests from Monday to Friday.
The property offers free guest laundry facilities and guests can prepare simple meals at the communal kitchen. An airport shuttle runs directly between the airport and the hostel for an additional charge and can be arranged at the airport upon arrival and reserved at the hostel for departures.
Casa Central Backpackers Hostel is a 5-minute drive from the University of Sydney. It is a 20-minute drive from both Sydney Airport and the famous Bondi Beach.

Firstly the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Secondly there is a
very laid back and friendly attitude in the hostel. There is a core of
young students/world travellers staying there that have been there a
while. They are all lovely. It was nice to spend time with them.
Impromptu drinks on the roof terrace were open to all.
I would say the accomodation is quite basic and it's perhaps a little rough round the edges but for less than £200 for 8 days those edges didn't seem so rough. You woul. all reviews
This is a small and cozy hostel - more like someone's house actually - the owners are Colombian and it has the feel of a small Latin American backpackers, which for me was a pleasant association, having backpacked through South and Central America. It's super super central - literally moments from Central Station, but tucked down a side street so it feels quiet. It's not flash, but it's clean, comfortable and good value for money.
Absolutely great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Desk and chair in the room. Not really like a hostel but more like a cozy share house. It's a bit old building, but that's not a problem for me. Could be my first choice in Sydney.
p.s. not like some stingy hostel, they use normal thick toilet paper ＼(^o^)／.
The rooms was neat and clean. Staff was very friendly. The shared batherooms were well lit and clean. Location of the hostel was perfect, close to the central station and the main shopping areas.Uninteruppted internet connection was a blessing. Kitchens were well equipped, neat and clean.
I liked how everyone at the hostel including guests and staff were really kind and helped out when needed.
I liked the convenient location. When I arrived in sydney, I didn't have to walk far from central station, after sleeping on the train, I was very tired.
Staff were very friendy and helpful. Kitchen was good. I could hear chatter from the rooftop on Sat night but they must have had a curfew because it stopped around midnight. Beds were clean - what more could you want :).
The staff were excellent, friendly and always eager to help. The atmosphere was very friendly and met some really nice and interesting people. The location was very convenient. I will definitely stay there again.
friendly staff, great location, great Wifi and there is washing machine available, and you are allowed to use the kitchen entirely like your home. You will definitely feel enjoyable staying there.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. As long as you take it
on it's own merits you won't be disappointed. Try and compare it
to the Hilton and you will. If you did that then clearly this
accomodation would not suit you.
I didn't like the beds!
Very uncomfortable. Everything else was fine.
Need a wooden mat or somthing in the shower so there is something dry to stand on when you get out.
There is weird smell (suspected from the carpet) at room 202, and the hot shower at bathroom need to be improved.
No air conditioning in rooms, though not needed at the time of my visit (December).

Wifi doesn't reach the 2nd floor. Can be a little noisy if you're not a sound sleeper since it's close to the street.
The wifi was playing up, while I was there, which was a big reason why I wanted to go there.
I rang the receptionist for directions to the place but he/she didn't answer as he was not with the phone at that time.
It was a bit noisy for most of the night. My room was close to kitchen and TV room. But I can put up with that for price and convenience.

Showers rather cramped, nowhere to hang stuff. A lot of noise from the street.
I didn't like the bunk, it was very high and the mattress was not comfortable, however they are in the process of replacing the mattresses.

Pictures of your rooms and common areas are deceiving on web site.
the kitchen and sometimes also the bathroom were very filthy but is rather a matter how guests conduct than the hostels fault.
The constant noise of all hours at night and the morning .

People staying shouting all hours no respect for anyone,
No one to make sure the people staying are quiet or fixing the door slamming at least 20 + times from 8.30 to 4.30 in the morning
No staff around to control behaviour or noise.
Two people room was double booked and I had to share room with three others. It has a rough feel. Some people seem to live there and treat the room as if it was theirs.
Hot shower was sometimes unavailable.
dirty even for backpackers hostel, humid (even water when is raining) and cold air are getting in from some wholes around the windows and due to the bad windows the noise was also a big problem.
i could not use my laptop.i do not know why,no signal for my laptop.There was no hot water in the bathroom. .
Very noisy, extremely OLD and very untidy. Needs a reburb big time. Expensive for what it was. Need a sign on the bathroom door to "Close Door QUIETLY". I was in room 209 straight across from it.
It's dirty, dirty, dirty!!!.
Bathrooms were unhygienic and unclean, room doors did not lock and neither did the lockers in those rooms, felt like an orphanage, unenjoyable - no reason to return.
The rooms were very small. The bed madras were so hard u could barely
get out of bed. Not very clean. Smelly. No air con. Toilet and bath
facilities were very small not clean. One toilet one bath. Would like to
see 15 girl standing in line to take a shower.
