We were originally meant to only stayed 4 nights but we stayed the entire 8 of our holidays!
It is definitely worth the price you pay.
Our room was serviced everyday by the friendly house keepers and were always greeted by the friendly, helpful service desk people.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Rydges Esplanade Resort. The staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We checked in prior to 2pm due to a flight reschedule and even though the hotel was close to full the staff did everything they could to get us into our room as quickly as possible which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We had a mountain view room which had stunning views of Cairns at night. If your out during the day, I'd recommend this

My room is 306, the room is clean, tidy and pretty quiet too. I like it very much!
The reception ladies are friendly and helpful. But only one person to serve in the evening time seems under pressure. The location of YHA also very convenience to reach the market and airport too! -

Nic location. Opposite to myer and central station. Around 10 minutes walk to ferry place. The apartment is clean and well organized. The staff is polite and helpful especially Alan very nice guy. It's a pleasant stay and I will stay again for next time.

Great place. If you're looking for somewhere to party & have a laugh then this is the place.
Stayed in a four bed room with an ensuite shower & toilet which were cleaned everyday.
Staff were friendly & helpful along with the tour desk.

Stayed from 19.2.13 - 26.2.13 in room 417 and had an awesome stay. I went with 3 people from work in Brisbane as a get away. We hardly ended up leaving at all because everything was there. I'll be booking again soon. Very hard to fault! Thanks to all the Gilligan's team.

Buffet breakfasts were superb, terrific variety and gluten-free bread supplied which was excellent. Great start to the day - in fact we found it lasted well into the afternoon! I found all of the staff very friendly , welcoming and efficient. Special praise goes to Rob McKenzie and his reception staff - I thought they were all brilliantly helpful when answering all of my questions. I would certainly recommend the hotel to others. - Great location and great facilities. Free shuttle into town was very good.
