Hotel is nice. Rom was big but there was only one chair and giving the fact that there is 2 people bedroom... there was a fridge and microwave in the room, so that was good. Nice smalll swimming pool, but we did not use it (the swimming pool at the esplanade is so great!) Staff was just ok. Being able to walk everywhere railway, bus, marina, beach walks, resturants and shopping centres. Pick Up and Drop Off to all trips away. Close to Markets and entertainment. Over all excellent would not stay anywhere else. Thanks to a wonderful staff .
all reviews » The apt. was most comfortable and specious. Our international friends really enjoyed their stay also. We were able to walk to the downtown areas. It was a quiet place and we all could relax sitting on the balcony overlooking the mountains. Refurbished 1-bedroom apartment was good in that it had everything a traveller needed including quality fittings and fixtures, laundry, TV and air-conditioner in both lounge and bedroom, good size bathroom and comfy beds. Perfect Location and facilities. NO DOUBT about cleanest. Room have a super mini kitchenette with everything you need in a short trip. Room was big and comfortable. we are not disable, but everything was adapted for. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, friendly staff and location. Also the value for money. The one bedroom supperior apartment is very nice, well furnished and perfect for a longer stay. It was close to the pier and close to all major shops. was the same as every where else I have stayed,. The sticky floors. Lacklustre reception area, lift and corridors to rooms. They need a facelift, ie repainting, artworks, etc. Apartments themselves were clean, sizeable and attractive. Regarding staff: don´t expect to see anyone. Not even front desk. almost a phantom hotel. Only Sat / Sun got 9 to 9 front desk and service was ugly, we need to wait like 20 min to make a question. Phantom Hotel !!!. Some of the things in the apartment are not child friendly. Eg: Glass coffee table (beautiful nonetheless). Our 2 year old accidently broke a bedside lamp which was very fragile by moving his pillow while he slept. We felt very bad about it. $115 may be fair for the cost of replacement, but in hindsight would of liked to have seen a reciept for the price of the lamp. Nothing to complain about really, pool on the roof was quite small and very cold though. nothing. nothing. Nothing!. nothing. I couldn't go up to the pool as the lift just wouldn't take us up. Room access with luggage and shopping- a smaller shopping trolley would have been helpful instead of the large porters trolley which is hard for 1 to manouver. No view on our floor level. a stranger on my balcony threatening my life at night. Beds were uncomfortable. Little things but.. Having to sign a form agreeing to all the rules and regulations! Have stayed in several of this chain and this was a first. Aircon unit over bed giving a draft on your head. Only 3 clothes hangers. Dirty table on terrace. bed was a little hard. extra payment to park your car.Toilet brush old and stained. The bed was hard. the bed was a disaster, hard on one side and dipped on the other. No assigned parking No toaster No washing machine. Having my licence photocopied on check in and unwelcoming check-in due to no party policy rammed down throat. Also, no reception person until 9am on a weekend. having to pay extra to park my car in secure carpark. Weren't many facilities for travellers to use. The airconditioner did drip on us whilst we were sleeping which woke us up at 4 am. Only one chair in room, when staying for 3 nights and eating meals in room is hard with one chair to sit on. No kitchen sink yet microwave available, no toaster. Rooms seemed bigger in pics, the Park Regis in Townsville 100% better. no free wi-fi or wi-fi with affordable price. Nothing. had an early flight & hotel not open. Daily $8 carpark charge was unreasonable. Very noisy maintenance work took place one, whole day. All balconies were powerwashed. We were not advised on this - We could have planned that day to go away. Also three times during our 10 day stay we needed to ask for toilet paper..it was forgotten. Also the suite was not vacuumed nor the floor mopped during the 10 day stay. I did not find the cleanliness 4 star. Standard of cleanliness much to be desired . Had a clove of insects in our bathrooms. There was a day housekeeping left all hair droppings as it was on the bathroom floor. Security - lock on door was very flimsy and there was no security chain. This was the biggest issue for us. Cost to store bags for 1/2 day - never encountered this before. Small bed and small room. No where to sit. Toiletries supplied were very poor quality even for hotel issue. The bed was horribly hard, much like sleeping on a hard bench. This internet scam runned by the Hotels is infuriating and must be exposed. 16$/Day for a bad connection: 128$ for 8 days. This is simply taking advantage of travelers in bad position. The room was not really clean, there were dark red stains on the wall above the sanitary garbage can... Carpet had several stains. Marks on walls, some old furniture. Several rooms have kitchens : strong cooking odors in the corridor. Not 4.5 stars by any standard. The internet service is the worst ever.... Not only there is NO wifi available and you have to PAY the cable-internet provided, but the service and speeds are totally useless!! Although the manager was pretty ok, the reception staff is the most apathetic staff I've ever seen in a hotel.. the staff member when I checked out was rude, the staff cannot tell you the same thing twice the same, is always a different story when they tell you.... very frustrating.
