It was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Great price for budget conscious families. Despite the wet bed and carpet from upstairs I was offered another room which I declined because it wasn't bothering us. I would stay there again in the future. Great value for money. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

The staff were very helpful and polite. It's a $20 taxi ride from the city centre but there are regular buses on the hour straight passed the hotel. Spacious flat , very clean and suited our needs for a one night stay. Reception lady was very helpful and could not do enough for us. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable and Robyn, Bernadette and Kevin were extremely helpful to our group. Our daughter loved the pool. Parking was good. Room was comfortable and booking was easy. Only 10mins drive to Cairns CBD. Very good price. Staff are very considered. Nice motel. The motel is very quiet and the staff are very professional and friendly. The room clean everyday staff friendly and helpful facilities very good. Hotel needs some TLC, but no complaints in view of the price paid. Traffic noise because of it's proximity to Bruce Highway. There is no wifi, although there is in the McDonalds just up the road. Nothing to complain about really. It is close to a main road but you would expect some noise but it didn't bother us. Unfortunately this establishment has many maintenance issues which need to be addressed. We requested a family room and got interconnected rooms, which wasnt a problem really but ot what we booked. Also one of the rooms had a very , not so nice smell about it. Also it was advertised as a 4 star, we feel it was more 3-3.5. A bit far out of town to walk. You must use a taxi or public transport. nothing. Nothing. A little far from the city. Gardens and grounds a bit run down. everything good when i spend my holiday at new chaloon, but there is a small problem which is ants and some insect will come out during nightday. Air conditioners in rooms are stuffed. While the motel was very low cost it is in serious need of an upgrade. Examples - the hole in the ceiling in the unit we were in needs repair and the security box was not working. The box was in place but with a key supplied by the office it still didn't work. I would suggest that this amenity not be included. Too far from anywhere - too hard to get to with current roadworks. Nothing not to like for the price. mould in bathroom, broken pool slide, overgrown gardens. Internet photos are NOT what the place looks like. Pictures on website are a mis-representation of property. Premises need maintenance on the outside. First impressions count for a lot. We thought the motel looked run-down and dirty from the outside but it was extremely clean and comfortable in the unit. Room smelled really bad and didn't feel very clean. Smoker guests smoked just outside their room doors and the smoke went to other guests' rooms. Staff wasn't very concerned about that... No free internet, the room cried for refreshing, the room-keeping-staff left our room open - but nothing has been stolen, we lucky ones ;-). The only reason we stayed there was that they had a slide going into the pool which would give our kids hours of fun. It was rusted out so the kids jumped in the pool for 1 min and that was it! Really peed off as there is no way we would have stayed there! Very old rooms with saggy mattresses! The photos of the pool area very deceiving! The pool was clean but the water features weren't working either!. Advetrised as 4 star was lucky to be 3 star. No meals available advertised breakfast none available.Ment to pay 107$ for 2 night was charged 118$ authorised amount of 107 via internet. They called me on my way back to Townsville to say payment was rejected card error (67) stolen card. I returned to the motel gave them the same card as payment and realise after they left they had charge me 118$. Fan didn't work, fridge was rusted & the door didn't close properly. I booked out 2 days early. This was advertised as a great one off deal at a reduced price ...last room remaining! When in reality is always this price & equivalent to a 2 star rating.
