I booked this hotel for a quick two day trip to see San Francisco with our kids based on the good price compared to nearby hotels, not really expecting much in the way of facilities. My wife even encouraged me to reconsider after out of fear it would not be clean or safe. I'm happy to say we were very surprised and happy with this property. Very clean, nice staff, ample parking, and great location. I will definitely consider your hotels for future travel in other cities. Thank you for the pleas.
all reviews » Good budget-friendly hotel. We stayed for 2 days & walked or bussed the whole time. Very central location to everything. We walked from the hotel to Pier 39/Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square, then would take the bus back. We did this with a 5 year old & a 2 year old. The rooms were clean & tidy with plenty of space. I would definitely stay here again. The room was a great size, very clean and included a simple but welcome breakfast. It was excellent value for money and was in a good central location for a short sightseeing holiday. Being English would have liked a kettle to make tea but having said that facilities were very good. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. It has everything you need for your stay, free wifi and cheap parking. It is well situated for a walk to Fishermans Wharf (about 20 mins) or to the first trolley stop (15 mins) and is next to several main bus routes, also easy access by car. Breakfast snacks were good enough to keep us until lunch. Friendly helpful staff. price and convenient location. Breakfast choices could be improved, and the room smelt musty if the fan was shut off all day. The location was great and very close if you do not mind walking 10 minutes to everything near Fisherman's Wharf or to catch the F line. Beds very comfortable. Great location, near bus & trolley. Yet not noisy. Parking for a small fee. Layout reminds me of a western town! Comfortable, nice size room,( had 2 queen beds). Good water pressure in shower. Adequate free breakfast with decent coffee! Front desk very helpful. The staff was great they allowed us to keep the car til 3:00pm in the parking lot while we went sightseeing. Having to pay to park on site and the extra taxes. The only thing i did not like was haveing to pay for parking. All was OK. A bit seedy and dated. Definitely needs some updating. TV barely worked. That the "wing" of the hotel that we stayed in was seperate from the main parking which made us trek our belongings. Noise from main road - take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The separate parking fee. The traffic noise. Had trouble finding it, got lost for 2 hours. The view to the top of the restaurant from room 202 hahaha. The window of our room opened onto the balcony of a different room. When the lads from the other room came home at 2 in the morning and decided to have a chat and a smoke on the balcony, they might as well have been sitting at the end of our bed - from both a noise and smoke perspective! And they weren't even partying hard. Found this layout to be very strange. -No iron -No cheese in the breakfast -. Dogs are permitted and two rooms down from us the dog(s) barked in the early morning hours and woke me up. Animal control even showed up and left a note on the occupants door about the barking after we checked in, as the dogs were left in the room. Having to go home. I don't have major criticisms. I would have liked it if there had been some form of protein for the breakfast menu. My grandaughter is a diabetic and all of the foods were high in carbohydrates. The toilet was either stained or dirty. Upon check-in , we found that we were charged for 2 adults and 2 children - but we were only 2 adults!. Additional charge for parking at a motor inn. It was a bit noisy. Not sure if there was an elevator. walked up to 3rd floor with suitcases. SFO is very expensive .I travel all over the world and no where else it is so expensive . SFO has to be carefull if they dont want to lose the Tourist .
