I was in London for work, and a little nervous about finding my way to a hotel alone in a strange city - the welcome was lovely, and the room was great. Pretty luxurious and a lovely warm comfy room for the price bracket!. The location was great. The rooms were very clean thougfh small, Toilet bathroom & shower fitments were new and clean. The room was serviced everyday.

Replace the staircase in the entry. It looks tatty, and feels wobbly underfoot - and gives a poor impression when the rooms are grand. We were horrified when we arrived as the entrance hall was dirty, the carpet was extremely worn. The officce seem to have some sheeting over the window. The staircase was very narrow, with no floor covering on the stairs to the second floor. Needs some upgrading but that is going to be done in the New Year. It was quite noisy outside, probably because we stayed there over the weekend, there was no soap, or shower gel so we had to go to the shop to buy it. Nothing. Tight for space. hotel looks a bit scanky from the outside (dog poo on pavement) and stairs are steep and narrow, so not great if you have bad knees. Extremely small single room with a huge bed , noisy. smell when you enter corridor. Anyone with walking problems would best not stay here as the stairs are very steep. We had the lower level room. It was only to sleep and crash for the night. The room was okay. The room is not very well maintained, although updated. No where to "plug in" to charge up mobiles except behind bed which was impossible to move it in a small space. The room was very dusty on the nightstand and the lamp. But for the price and what we intended the room for, it worked for us. Floor was tiled so clean but very unbalanced and shower tiny and the base very skiddy so dangerous. room was very small! much smaller than expected. and no elevator with a lot of stairs in a spiral-type staircase. Could have got something nicer for around the same price. The stairwell was bit shabby and it was overpriced for what it was. Shabby hotel. Very basic. Room at top of 3 flights of very steep and narrow stairs. Probably the worst quality hotel I've ever stayed in. Took an age to get any hot water. Room too hot. Having a room in the basement, when people came into the hotel it was really noisy. No TV channels, fan. We were told we could leave out bags, however they were to be kept in an open hallway without a locked door where the staff couldn't see them. We were also kept awake by someone on the telephone at 1am. The shower fixing was broken and the shower head had to be held by hand. The bed was never made and as the room was in the basement there was noise from the underground well into the night. bathroom was grubby and no light room very small. The stairs very steep and not very wide. As rooms are small become very warm and too noisy to leave windows open except for short period overnight. Limited breakfast served in very basic although friendly cafe around corner - served chips with breakfast! Although decor tidy rooms dirty around the edges . room was small and basic, luxury room would not be used to describe it, basically bedrooms off a small not very sightly staircase, no lifts, but room was clean and ok for what we needed, bed for few hrs one evening after concert. wouldn't leave any valuables in room when not there as unsure on security of room. staff friendly enough,. I found the staff very unfriendly and unhelpful. The hotel was in a poor state with the stairs being in a very dangerous state. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room I was in had a double bed squished into it leaving no room at all. Not only this but the room was in a basement meaning that I was unable to get any signal and was effectively isolated for the night. The room was in very poor condition and the bathroom had not been cleaned, with both dirt and hair in the shower and shower down the drain of the sink. For over £50 a night, this was an absolute shambles and I would not stay here again. Mould on the bathroom ceiling. Very slow draining shower so shower tray filled with water. Windows old and single glazed. View of metal escape stairs in basement. Not pleasant. Noise from street as poor insulation from window. Noise in morning from staff as room next to laundry area. Leaking radiator in room even though middle of summer!!. Had to ask for toilet rolls. Did not top up tea bags, milk, etc. fair amount of dust up the walls, curtains, etc. Just as well I didn't suffer with asthma! Receptionist's command of English was average. The room was very cramped. Kettle had to be held down in order for it to work and did not fit under that tap to fill. Shower basin filled with water indicating the drain was blocked. Disgustingly poor wi-fi, mainly only accessible in the stairwell.a bathroom layout so small two people could not share.bathroom size would have been 1metre sq.we paid £90 per night where thru our experience it should have been about £50. Poor customer care - room shody - recepion abysmal in a cupboard half way up tiny stairway - very noisy?. broken sink, broken window, not a nice place but cheap. Really disappointed with the room, I upgraded to a luxury room before arriving and I dread to think what a standard room would have been like. Sheets were clean but bathroom wasn't and the tap was broken. Quality. Did not look like the photo at all. The room was not clean at all the shower has mold on it! The walls where dirty. I would not stay here again and defiantly would not recommend it. Room size was very small, & overall represents very poor value for a nights sleep. Poky room in the basement noisey very basic, trapped if a fire broke out. Would not stay again. Was not clean and poor room. Very cramped rooms. Noisy in the morning due to rickety stairs and thin walls/doors. No apparent food service despite advertising as having same. Poor cleanliness, with a dirty used bandage being left in the room by somebody staying before us. No staff to greet when i arrived. The small basic and dirty room. The bathroom was disgusting. The whole hotel needs renovation. I paid £100 for one night. The place should be shut down. I wont be staying there again. the staff was not very friendly. the stairs are dangerous. It was not very clean. and there was no wifi in our room. there was no hot water in shower and the room and bathroom were filthy. Everything else. Everything. This is not a hotel and should be removed from letsbookhotel.com.
