  Our family had a very positive experience during our stay. Great location - short taxi ride from train station; very friendly, helpful staff - from the front desk, breakfast room to housekeeping staff - all are extremely friendly and helpful! Hotel is perfectly located for those wanting to explore the Chateau Blois and the "old city". Shops, cafes... what people say » and restaurants all within walking distance. All of us would recommend this hotel to all travellers - if looking for an authentic "old" European expe - The hotel was in a wonderful location right in the centre of Blois but with easy parking nearby. When we booked, the proprietor sent a personal email welcoming us and this was typical of the whole style of the hotel which was friendly, cheerful and welcoming. The hotel is in an old, very characterful building said to have belonged originally to the Dukes of Guise, and the owners have kept a lot of character while making sure that it is comfortable and modern where it needs to be.   We had a young child with us and the staff provided a brand new cot thatwe put up in the room. We liked the location and friendliness so muchthat we booked again for our return trip. - Far from gorgeous but well facilitated for family with small children. Friendly staffs. Casual restaurant.   Used as an overnight stop travelling to Spain. Although situated on within a commercial area it was easy to find a short distance from the main road. It was quiet and comfortable and while not luxury it was good value for money being I consider budget hotel. Staff were attentive and although english speaking welcomed our attempted french!   Room was better than expected for price. Very clean, functional and spacious enough for family of five. The 'family room' is effectively two adjoining rooms to sleep 3. Each contains a double bed and top bunk bed overhead. Shower/toilet is basic but perfectly usable cabin unit within the room. Dog allowed which was great and also Wifi in room was perfect. Tip, try the Pat-a-pain nearby for breakfast, it is amazing!

  A the end of a long journey being met by Christophe and ushered to the lovely swimming pool to cool off was wonderful. The chateau was beautiful in large gardens which were child friendly and boisterous boys were not curtailed in noisy and extensive games of hide and seek. We were able to truly relax as the children were off exploring while we ate b - We were only booked in overnight on our way to Calais from Carcassonne. We arrived after a 7 hour drive so a dip in the outdoor heated pool was a welcome and rejuvenating experience. The house is very romantic and charming and set in its own grounds so it is perfectly child friendly. Our hosts were extremely friendly and spoke perfect English.   Amazing place to stay. Located on the river bank. Greeted on arrival by the owner which the chateau has been in his family for a very long time if not original owners. The chateau is very big with many living rooms filled with antiques family photo's and the Dining room were breakfast is served the wall are painted with original murals from hundre... what people say » ds of years ago. Our room was very comfortable just beautiful. The garden surrounding the chateau are very picturesque. The staff are very lovely and - The location is ideal for visiting the Chateau at Chambord. This is a really unique experience and an opportunity to stay in a Chateau. The rooms are of an older period but quite charming. The hosts Patrick and his wife Ileana were both friendly and helpful with local information. The breakfast in a period dining room with painted panels was special.
