Used as an overnight stop travelling to Spain. Although situated on within a commercial area it was easy to find a short distance from the main road. It was quiet and comfortable and while not luxury it was good value for money being I consider budget hotel. Staff were attentive and although english speaking welcomed our attempted french! Pets allowed we our Border Collie stayed in our room. Would use again if looking for an overnight stop.
all reviews » I arrived having booked the wrong dates, the young woman at the front of house could not have done a better job.. Thank you. The staff were wonderful and very courteous. The food was good and the breakfast excellent. The Hotel was so far so good the room was clean the staff friendly. Value for money and proximity to Blois and it's attractions. Food was excellent. Wi-fi worked well and was easy to set up. Plenty parking and handy for the town of Blois and surrounding area. In other respects Hotel OK, but all benefits cancelled by the bedbug experience. Good breakfast choice. Comfortable room. The choice of restaurants limited to fast food, driving back into Blois or eating at the hotel. As it was after 9pm we ate at the hotel and while the quality of the food was acceptable found the menu limited and a little overpriced. Two people two courses without wine 45 euros. The beds were a bit on the hard side. The slab in the bathroom was very loose and requires repair. These things should be repaired before renting a room as it poses a safety risk. Cups for drinks in room were far too small. It would be nice to have proper coffee maybe individual filters. Didn't really like the location. Restaurant was closed on first night of stay (Friday) so had to drive to Blois for evening meal. No vegetarian choice (for my wife) when open on next evening so had to go out again. Unfortunately Mrs Thomas suffered bedbug bites . Because the bites were so numerous, I am sure they must have been aware of the infestation. Staff were at best unfriendly, at worst a little rude. First room had shower which was not clean and had drain which did not work. Staff seemed in no way surprised and we were instructed to move rooms. Staff offered no assistance whatsoever. My French is above average, yet the receptionist seemed to enjoy attempting to confuse at all times. The hotel itself is reasonably well situated and appropriate given the cheap price, the staff undo these benefits. No lift as we were on fourth floor, especially as there were only a few people staying there. Little choice for breakfast. Situation-right in middle of industrial/commercial area. Playground for children was non-existent apart from a swing. Indoor swimming pool was advertised but was not at hotel-apparently at a sports club nearby. atmosphere.
