  It is elegant but also very friendly and comfortable. The situation in the old town is full of character and the staff could not have been more helpful. I was on a winter break with my husband and I would recommend it highly. We did have to walk (5 mins) from the old town gate as cars cannot drive up to the hotel, but this added to the charm. - ... what people say » It's location was perfect.   Up market !! - Location was perfect, being directly outside Old Town. Being so close toPile Gate also meant that it was a very short walk to the hotel aftergetting off the bus from the airport. The staff was extremely friendly -the lady who checked me in remembered my name throughout my stay and wasvery helpful!

  Very comfortable hotel with friendly and obliging staff. We were upgraded on arrival which was a surprise bonus! The hotel manager was very accomodating and very hands on with the guests which impressed me. Location was fantastic with bus to old town right outstide the hotel. Stunning views and very peaceful.   This is most definitely a first class 5 star hotel from the moment of pickup from airport. The hotel is a designers dream no detail too small for them. Open spaces yet a feeling of intimacy. Fabulous room with small balcony and big view. Great location with private boat ride to walled city several time a day (mini van provided if weather does not ... what people say » permit boat). 5 Star restaurant, bit pricey but worth every penny. Plenty of good food places in town too. Indoor outdoor swimming pool, outdoor lunch - The location is magnificent. The beds are very comfortable and enormous. Every room has a sea view which is spectacular. Simply adored the courtesy vaporetta that shuttles between the hotel and the old harbour in Dubrovnik every hour.
