    The hotel is lovely, nice rooms, comfy bed. They gave us a complimentary room upgrade for our honeymoon. They are renovating at the moment so I imagine it will be more modern look in the future. The pool and beach are fantastic and loved the pool bar. Cocktails delicious! - The facilities, the location and the amenities.     The Inn was surprisingly exciting, different, homely and very memorable. We felt we were really in Hawaii, not just another hotel or resort. Irene was very interesting, warm and friendly. She was very generous with her time, information about the area and booked a lava walk tour for us. Insight into her ukulele playing and other interests gave us appreciation of everyday life - A very friendly B&B in Pahoa, the innkeeper, Irene, was super friendly and helpful. I was feeling ill the day I arrived from a week- long cold, and Irene made me ginger tea immediately. I felt so much better the next day. It's a motherly touch that a large resort cannot replicated (which I stayed at before arriving at Lava Tree). It's something so small as that that can change your entire vacation and make it bettter.
