  My husband and I make Clearwater a hotel our destination when we travel to Mackiaw City. We've stayed there about 7-8 times over 21 years if marriage. Told the management of our displeasure and they moved us to the 3rd floor the next day. We appreciated the accomodation. Once moved, we were very happy to have a private balcony.   Very late arrival but no problems at check in. Staff were very helpful at check in and check out. Clean rooms. A bit of wear and tear in the bathroom but not atypical for the price and location. Location was great for shopping in mackinaw city and really close to the ferry boats to Mackinaw Island as well.   We liked nearly everything about Mackinaw Beach and Bay Resort. A morning breakfast is provided, and it's good, but it needs a little variety. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are great and the view is amazing from your own private balcony.
