A bit out of the town itself, but if like us, you're planning on touring Philadelphia on foot, it is not an issue at all. A 30 minute walk from, Philly, 15 mn from the museum and 30th St train station, it is nestled in University town, in a lovely and quiet area of old houses. The room we spent the night in looked EXACTLY like its picture on the website. We found it beautiful. Now for what you can't -
The home is a beautiful mid-19th century Victorian with gingerbreading, dark woods, and stained glass. The atmosphere is warm, comfy, and clean.
The house is an easy walk from the 30th street station and just over the bridge from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Rodin and Barnes Collections. It took about 20 minuter to walk to the former and a few minutes more to walk to the latter.

I loved the look and feel of this hotel it has a modern feel and look plus it's very homey. The indoor pool and hot tub were great! The gym was also well placed I could watch the family in the pool while I worked out. -

I absolutely loved this hotel. I'm so picky about staying in hotels
and I searched for a good one for days. Realizing I knew nothing about
any hotels in Philadelphia and knowing that I needed somewhere to stay
for the football game on Sunday I just picked this one based on reviews.

Small beautiful hotel in the center city area. Perfect location, very beautiful and homy decor. I enjoyed the breakfast, which was in a cosy room, food was tasty and it included was looked like freshly baked (still warm) muffins. -

The location was fantastic - a historic, listed building at the heart of the city with excellent transportation links. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Hotel amenities were excellent - we particularly appreciated the Starbucks in the lobby. The staff were courteous and helpful, and early check-in which was great as we arrived a couple of hours ahead of schedule.

If I could Have clicked excellent for every category I would have. My phone wouldn't let me scroll over. This may have been the best hotel experience I've ever had. We liked everything about this hotel. From the clean, spacious room to the friendly courteous staff, the excellent food at the 2 restaurants, and the proximity to the subway. We attended the Army Navy game, and we intend to return to Philadelphia and will definitely stay at The DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia City Center!

By paying slightly more than we normally pay, we were able to get a much better room in a quality hotel with a great staff. Discounts are very important to us because they are the reason we are able to travel so often. It really made a difference to have a relaxing stay in a nice hotel. The hotel was in a location that was easy for us to reach on our trip to Philadelphia. The people working at the front desk were wonderful! They were very glad to assist us in helping choose a place to eat, where to find an Italian bakery and directions to the airport to pick up our friends!! -
The room had an excellent view and was very cozy.
