Our hostess was very informative about Newport's history and it's surrounding area . She made us very welcome . She explained that the hot entree at breakfast was just one choice which changed daily but was happy to make us something else if we didn't like it .

This Inn was a jewel in our east coast journey. It was also the most
expensive night for us, but in Newport, you have to expect a higher
price. We were happy that we could park the car in their lot, and walked
where we wanted to until we checked out the next day. We did the Cliff
walk early in the morning, the best time in the heat of the summer. This
Inn is truly a treasure!

The hostess, Kim was very friendly and accommodating. The place was just a few minutes walk to the heart of town and the cliff walk. It wasn't fancy but it was clean and comfortable. -

My husband and I stayed there on a whim Maggie was such gracious proprietor. She and her husband are very passionate about keeping the history of the place intact. The rooms are beautifully appointed. It's very quite and relaxing. The location is beyond perfect since it sits on Bellevue Ave which place s you half way between walks to the mansions/

We stayed in room 205 the queen /spa tub we loved it! it was like we had a suite. you walked through 1 door there was a siting are dining and kitchen then down the hall were 4 guest rooms .we had one guest room but never saw the other couples just their wine in frig it was like our own little suite .the bed was very comfortable tub was relaxing.If

I loved the architecture, how it felt like you were in a home away from home, the closeness to shops, attractions and the beach, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of selections you could make and it was overall a very gorgeous place

Darlene was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and offered some great ideas for what to do, where to shop, where to eat, and where the locals go for fun. The Lodge offered discounted tickets to the Mansions and passes to the art museum. The breakfasts were fantastic, and it was nice to chat with the other guests during breakfast to hear what they were doing during their stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Ivy Lodge.

The room and entire inn was very clean. The location was situated within walking distance to town. The innkeepers were very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast offered several options and was fresh and delicious. -

This hotel was in an excellent location, right across the street from the beach. Everything was very close, the Mansions were right up the street, as well as the Cliff Walk and many restaurants were within walking distance. Downtown Newport was only a few minutes drive, as well. That a ironing board and iron were avaliable as well as a hair dryer, didn't use but it was available, great. Quiet, view of beach. Coffee 24 hrs.in lobby.
Breadfast servered at 7am. Plenty of food to choose from. Had a great visit. Everyone very friendly, and the pool was a great asset after spending a few hours on the beach. Awesome!!

The inn was quaint and historic ( no ghost though). The staff - Otilia
was on the entire weekend that we were there and she was amazing.
Always so helpful and always went out of her way to help us. Always had
a smile on her face no matter the time of day or night. And the
location was the best!! We could leave the car in the parking at the
Inn and walk everywhere. This was such a plus in a city where parking
was very limited.
