The Ivy Lodge itself was elegant and clean. Upon entering it felt like I
was walking into my inviting and ornate home of my dreams. Fresh flowers
decorating the tables every day, candy set out by the entrence. My room
had all the eccessories to make it comfortable, including a fireplace,
flat screen tv with dvd player, and a cozy chair to relax in

breakfast was more than I expected. Anything I could imagine to eat was

Darlene was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and offered some great ideas for what to do, where to shop, where to eat, and where the locals go for fun. The Lodge offered discounted tickets to the Mansions and passes to the art museum. The breakfasts were fantastic, and it was nice to chat with the other guests during breakfast to hear what they were doing during their stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Ivy Lodge.

We recently stayed at the Bouchard Inn for out 10 year Anniversaty.
After reading many positive reviews I figured we would check it out.
This place is fabulous! For starters, the price was great! At check in

Bouchard was close to almost everything when walking, and the beach was only a short drive away. The room was very clean and comfortable, although a bit small. The morning pastries were hot and delicious when delivered to the door. My sister and I were able to check in early which was great. We noticed that there was construction going on (they are obviously expanding) and the innkeeper told us upfront that there was a small hole in one of the walls of our room. He offered a slight discount

The hostess, Kim was very friendly and accommodating. The place was just a few minutes walk to the heart of town and the cliff walk. It wasn't fancy but it was clean and comfortable. -

My husband and I stayed there on a whim Maggie was such gracious proprietor. She and her husband are very passionate about keeping the history of the place intact. The rooms are beautifully appointed. It's very quite and relaxing. The location is beyond perfect since it sits on Bellevue Ave which place s you half way between walks to the mansions/

The hospitality of its' owner Maggie Wiggins and the friendliness of the staff make this a place to remember. The modest pricing in the dining room, the quality of the food and efficiency of the wait staff make this a five star place to stay.

Our hostess was very informative about Newport's history and it's surrounding area . She made us very welcome . She explained that the hot entree at breakfast was just one choice which changed daily but was happy to make us something else if we didn't like it .

This Inn was a jewel in our east coast journey. It was also the most
expensive night for us, but in Newport, you have to expect a higher
price. We were happy that we could park the car in their lot, and walked
where we wanted to until we checked out the next day. We did the Cliff
walk early in the morning, the best time in the heat of the summer. This
Inn is truly a treasure!

I loved the in-town location, being able to park my car and never get in
it again til it was time to leave. You could look out the windows and
see the harbor, James Town, and Goat Island in the distance. The
shopping was fabulous. Everything within walking distance. The
restaurants were all close and there were many choices. Cliff Walk was a

We loved being in the thick of things in downtown Newport. We Loved Jane, the manager, who was very thorough, friendly, and helpful. We loved the sheets and th comfort of the bed. We Loved th view of the harbor from our room and the spaciousness of our room and sitting area.For the price, some higher qualitybaked goods would have been betterfor the included continental breakfast. Bathroom and bed were immaculate
