I liked the arrangement of the hotel itself. Although it had three floors, each room was located around a corner, so it appeared separate from the others.
The location of this hotel is within a few blocks of Cannery Row and the Aquarium- which means everything was within walking distance. The transit lines were likewise. -

The gentle calm of the place. It seemed like a well kept 75 year-old elegant hotel. It is much newer and build to an older standard. The location is the best in Monterey. the wonderful view of the ocean. We watched a range of seabirds and also
Sea Otters. The room was beautifully furnished and the bed was extremely
comfortable. Sitting in the comfortable arm chairs in front of the log
burning fire as the evening cooled added to the luxurious and romantic
atmosphere. The sound of the Ocean waves as we drifted off to sleep was
the best of all!

We have stayed at the Victorian Inn before and fell in love with the fabulous proximity to everything! We also enjoy the wine tasting in the afternoons. The breakfast has been expanded since we stayed last and it was a delightful surprise. Will stay again and again. We also tell friends about the hotel everytime someone says that they are going to Monterey!

Right from the start upon parking our car in valet was A+ service from that point forward. The room was very tastefully appointed, with attention to detail. Although the hotel is in the center of the tourist area, our room was quiet. The parking facilities were across a walkway but quite easy to get to and from. There was a good breakfast selection in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful in providing us with directions to get to San Francisco.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Monterey Bay Inn. Location was great - in between Fisherman's Warf and Cannery Row and the scenery was gorgeous. Loved the sound of the sea lions in the distance, too. Carpet in hallways needed cleaning, but our room was spacious and clean. Great value with the continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!

realize it was free until we were leaving, or we would have taken in

Location. The hotel was cruise and complete; everything we needed without being to much. We had free wifi, fridge, microwave, and access to the footpath that goes for days. The hotel was very close to amenities and provided many of its own. I would absolutely stay there again and enjoy breakfast on the patio! It is not the five star, nickel n dime ya, hotel that the Hyatt is; it is easy and functional and everything we needed.

What a wonderful find! Dawn and John were delightful hosts the entire time I was there. They even went above and beyond offering a quick breakfast selection before an early half marathon run. The room was fantastic. The little details like the amazingly comfortable bed and wonderful linen really made the Jabberwock stand out. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and cheerful which helped make it a great place to stay.
There was a really friendly environment and it was made all the more so with delicious hors d'oerves and wine served in the evening with all the guests able to sit and chat together.

Great location and the staff were very friendly. Great for a couple looking to relax and take in the scene. The place has all the old world charm. We were even greeted by some deer in the front yard as we were checking in. Location is fantastic with good restaurants within walking distance and 17 Mile drive within a bike ride range (much nicer than doing it by car and you don't have to pay the entrance fee). I booked the hotel on my iPhone as we drove down the coast. I knew nothing about it. What a wonderful surprise--loved the room with all the amenities. Since we arrived at 8 p.m., we didn't have time to enjoy the seating area or the balcony, but we liked having breakfast in the room. Loved the plantings and fountains. Love the location--walked to dinner and in the morning to the wharf. Charming and cozy.

What a beautiful town & hotel.Stayed here for 5 days in July as we had travelled to see the Moto Gp racing at Laguna Seca. We had Yamaha & Ducati pit crew staying in our hotel. Well placed for the Harbour and bars etc. Fishermans Wharf is beautiful. must have been around 1000 motorbikes parked n the streets. Amazing place. Will definitely
