  I liked the arrangement of the hotel itself. Although it had three floors, each room was located around a corner, so it appeared separate from the others. The location of this hotel is within a few blocks of Cannery Row and the Aquarium- which means everything was within walking distance.   The gentle calm of the place. It seemed like a well kept 75 year-old elegant hotel. It is much newer and build to an older standard. The location is the best in Monterey. Upon entering the room for the first time I was surprised that the pictures I had seen understated the elegance and beauty. When I saw that the hotel had provided binoculars... vad folk säger » for our use, I was impressed. The window seat was our favorite spot to share the wonderful California wines we bought. We walked to everything and go - Without question, the best feature was the window seat looking out onto the wonderful view of the ocean. We watched a range of seabirds and also Sea Otters. The room was beautifully furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. Sitting in the comfortable arm chairs in front of the log burning fire as the evening cooled added to the luxurious and romantic atmosphere. The sound of the Ocean waves as we drifted off to sleep was the best of all!

  Love the location, front desk and housekeeping staff, wine reception every evening, and breakfast every am in the lovely lobby/reception area. The close proximity to wharfs, local attractions, shopping, restaurants, bay, etc. is an added plus. Will definitely be back next year as usual! - We have stayed at the Victorian Inn before and fell in love with the fabulous proximity to everything! We also enjoy the wine tasting in the afternoons. We also tell friends about the hotel everytime someone says that they are going to Monterey!

Every member of the staff no matter at what capacity were helpful, friendly, professional, and made you feel special in every way possible. Great staff. Although the hotel is in the center of the tourist area, our room was quiet. The parking facilities were across a walkway but quite easy to get to and from. There was a good breakfast selection in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful in providing us with directions to get to San Francisco.

  Easy access to Cannery Row and Fishermans Wharf. Location is stunning. Beautiful room. Great view of the ocean. Friendly and honest staff. We went out for the evening and left the safe door wide open with all our money, passports and travel tickets inside. Would definitely stay there again!

  Great amenities! Free parking, fast wifi, dvd players in the rooms, lots of cable channels. This is a great location! You are a half block away from a cute little beach that does fill up pretty quick, but offers a great place for young kids to play. You are also about 5 blocks from the Aquarium, which means you basically get the full breadth of Ca... vad folk säger » nnery Row. With the Trolley, you can also get downtown Monterey. We didn't realize it was free until we were leaving, or we would have taken in those - Location. The hotel was cruise and complete; everything we needed without being to much. We had free wifi, fridge, microwave, and access to the footpath that goes for days. The hotel was very close to amenities and provided many of its own. I would absolutely stay there again and enjoy breakfast on the patio! It is not the five star, nickel n dime ya, hotel that the Hyatt is; it is easy and functional and everything we needed.

  What a wonderful find! Dawn and John were delightful hosts the entire time I was there. They even went above and beyond offering a quick breakfast selection before an early half marathon run. The common area is warm and comfortable. They had some guests staying who have frequented the place many times. I look f - The room was fantastic. The little details like the amazingly comfortable bed and wonderful linen really made the Jabberwock stand out. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and cheerful which helped make it a great place to stay. There was a really friendly environment and it was made all the more so with delicious hors d'oerves and wine served in the evening with all the guests able to sit and chat together.

The views are gorgeous, but believe it or not almost secondary--that's how much Mr. Martine makes you feel welcome to stay at his home. Location - close enough to the center that easily accessible to all the main Monterey attractions but far enough off Cannery row that it was really nice and quiet when it was time to call it a night.   What a beautiful town & hotel.Stayed here for 5 days in July as we had travelled to see the Moto Gp racing at Laguna Seca. We had Yamaha & Ducati pit crew staying in our hotel. Well placed for the Harbour and bars etc. Fishermans Wharf is beautiful. must have been around 1000 motorbikes parked n the streets. Amazing place.
