If you want location, this hotel is a very short distance from the boardwalk & beach. Sophia, worked the front desk, she was always friendly and very helpful. The room came w/ a large fridge, I expected smaller version. Most important this room was inexpensive. We chose this motel for the location because we were in the area for the Car Show. It was close to the action and the boardwalk. The staff was very polite and accomodating. The room was very affordable...but that showed in the room...
all reviews » The staff was wonderfully friendly and accommodating and let us check in early and check out late, which was very helpful with a toddler. Additionally, the location was very convenient. For a budget motel, it was a good spot. hotel staff was very accommodating helped my husband up the stairs with our things.wouldnt evan take a tip nice for the money. Girl at desk was friendly and accommodating with a last minute request. Room was clean, cool, and location good. Staff was courteous and friendly. Close to beach, Boardwalk., Activities. The room/bathroom are outdated, but after all---This hotel is perfect for those who want to get away, enjoy a vacation but are on a budget. The room was not very comforting and roomy. I would have preferred carpet on the floor and more artwork on the wall. There was also no closet. The dead bolt on the door did not lock and we found some glass on the floor when we arrived. The tile floors were probably easy to clean, but treacherous when wet. The baby slipped a number of times, so we had to use our towels as makeshift rugs. The decor and facilities were a bit dated, but as a home base to enjoy the shore and boardwalk, it worked well. would like to see more comfortable mattesses. Nothing really. Room was a little out dated. Front door was old and loose. Bathroom door was patched at the bottom and unfinished repair. Remote for Television would not turn it off. Motel room door kept getting stuck. We couldn't tell if door was locked or not. Not enough electrical outlets. Poor lighting. Farther down the beach end then I usually stay but not bad. The fact couldnt connect to wi-fi....and wish floors were carpeted..ours was tile and could not walk barefoot or with socks- cause feet got filthy. I bring own linens though. The beds were horrible and had plastic wrapped around the mattress which is noisy and concerning.. Makes me question the cleanliness.. Bed was also very uncomfortable as were the sheets which were stiff and flat pillows.. Some fabric softener would do wonders. Rest of the guests were inconsiderate, loud, hung their wet laundry all over the place. Took almost an entire day to cool the room with the ac unit. Tiny shower stall that dripped constantly. Paying $50 just so a friend can visit you was very Inconvenient. Broken beds broken shower. Rooms needs to be updated there was no any drawer or furniture in room which you could put your stuff in there.no phone service, wi-fi doesn't work no locker or safe ,first day at hotel there was spiders on bed and then later on I killed on cricket in bathroom,,, looks like skylark is 100 years old hotel.do not waste your money. Did not like the room, it was back in a corner. No veiw of anything. The pool was small and very cold. Bathroom sink had toothpaste caps in the drain. Everything was broke ... Shower head, door lock and cable box was missing when we first arrived. I booked online using bookings.com and the hotel didnt even have my reservation. 2 leaks in bathroom(one small & one flooded), shower was plastic and dirty, old fixtures rusty. Not worth the money. Won't tell anyone to go there.
