I would have to say that the owners, Frank and his wife, are angels from heaven. After getting stuck out of town I had to forfeit a night at the Mango Motel that was paid for. I spoke to Frank and asked if he would let me know if he had any cancellations so that I would be able to stay another night. Well, Frank did better than that!! He and his wife gave us a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo for free!! The condo was absolutely beautiful! I will definitely return to the Mango Motel again because .
all reviews » We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mango Motel. The owner was friendly and very helpful and offered to provide us with whatever we needed to make our stay pleasurable. The pool and Jacuzzi were clean and lovely. We rented the apartment for the week and our apartment was fabulous with a deck overlooking the entire motel. The apartment had a fully equipped kitchen which saved me a ton of money. We had daily maid service and the price for our stay was just right. I would highly recommend . Very clean and affordable. Owners are exceptionally friendly. Pool and hot tub new and larger than other hotels. Although pool hours state open until 8, Frank usually keeps it open later if people are still swimming. Both nights we stayed, it was open until about 9:30. Rooms are being remodeled with wood flooring. It is an older motel, so rooms are smaller, but they are very clean and being updated, the owners are very friendly and it is a good location just few blocks from boardwalk close to M. The owners were awesome. Answered any questions we had and were extremely friendly. This motel is only a short walk to the boardwalk and beach. It's a great place to stay if your on a budget. We picked it cause it was clean and the price. The pool and jacuzzi were nice the new sun deck chairs were comfortable It wasn't your hard plastic or 70's deck chairs. These had the cushions and properly placed. A lot of upgrades are being made and are really nice. Would definitely stay again. Just round t. The hot tub and pool were really nice after a day at the beach. The new flat screen television got lot of use. There was plenty of hot water and the air conditioner worked very well, which was a blessing as the week was really hot. The management was friendly and helpful and the hotel was close to both the beach and the boardwalk. There was on-site parking as well. The rooms were cleaned every day. It was just what we needed for a beach vacation. The owner Frank was one of the nicest persons we have met. Stayed a week and he offered us his washer and dryer, on a gloomy day told us about an amazing zoo for the kids 15min away, my B-Day feel mid-week, he recommended a nice restaurant when we got back he let my wife and I enjoy the hot tub for 2hrs past posted time. I highly recommend it and can't wait till next year. The owner was super nice and helpful. I asked about bed bugs and he said that he had just put new matresses in all the rooms with plastic around them. He said he never had problems with bb. The room was cute with a nice small kitchen. Pool and hot tub were nice. 2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk. lots of restaurants in walking distance. The owners and the staff were just so very friendly. Made you feel like you were right at home. Nothing was left unattended too. Also, made lots of new friends there. The other guests were so friendly. This hotel and its owners and staff deserve a 10 on our list of hotels..!!!!. The owner was great! He was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to keep our bikes in our room. He also moved his car for us so we could have a better parking spot. After check-out he let us keep our car in the lot saving us about $20 we would have paid to park elsewhere!. They have a hottub, a grill, and a pool. Though we only used the pool, we enjoyed it. I was originally concerned about bad reviews I read here, but it's for the price you are getting a great deal. So I don't have any complaints. Inconsistent hours for hot tub operation were a bit of an issue and it was often more of a "tepid" tub, although the jets were very relaxing. Nothing. Just some minor things: -Shower could use a little TLC. -No hooks on back of door to hang stuff to dry. -Faucets were very hard to turn in bathroom. (was fixed right away after the owner was informed) -Was noisy on friday night because of band playing nearby. -Microwave knob was broken. -Shower water pressure was very low. Our room had a few ants, nothing too unbearable but something we did notice. Also, the hot tub was great our first day but the second day it smelled a little scummy - probably not anyone's fault though!. The owner is working on upgrading the place, our room was nice, our bathroom needs upgrading put served the purpose. N/A. A few of the lightbulbs were out in our room, there was still plenty of light. If you think there isn't hot water, turn the knob towards cold, it was hot immediately for us. Just a little remainder...new blind or curtains for room 1 that's all. It was the off-season so they were doing some upgrades, but that did not bother us for we were gone during the day when upgrades/repairs were being made. The improvements were clearly noticeable in the room we were given. Very nice. The lil ants was crazy all over the place, we just couldn't leave any food out.. But we worked it out. If I can suggest that u spray near the microwave and refrigerator. The room was a tad too small and the bed was very uncomfortable. It was perfect for what we intended the stay for. The only thing I didn't like that really wasn't the places fault. Was whoever stayed above us didn't stop their children from running around past 1am. I wanted to stay an extra night but the motel was booked solid!. we didnt have time to stay a few more days. Nothing. its kind of run down and old looking and price is kind of steep for what you get. the room was too small. Vacation was too short!. I have no complaints. The beds they are a little old. beds were not the most comfortable. Some small bugs in kitchen. We were charged for smoking in the room and the group I was with including me, are all Jehovah's Witnesses and none of us smoke. The fact that there are ashtrays right outside of the rooms, make it almost impossible for smoke to not enter the rooms. To be charged 100.00 fee for something I do not do, to me is unreasonable. Could use little updating. nothing. price and room availability changed all the time. need wall mount tv. Nothing. Pool time could have been longer i like late night swimi.
