  Beautiful grounds, sweet little pond with nice landscaping. Cabins are cute, comfortable and well stocked for cooking. Off the beaten track--in the woods, nice neighborhood for walking. There is a fabulous crepe restaurant around the corner even though it is in a neighborhood. - Excellent facilities in a great location if you don't have to be ... what people say » directly in Seward. Other reviewers have complained about not meeting an owner onsite, but this was no problem at all. The one small question we had was promptly answered by phone.

  Our view from the room was wonderful, we watched the sea otters play in the harbor between the docks. Beautiful snow covered mountains in the background. Window open to the east to watch the sunrise. We could walk to shop & eat, saving gas and getting a little exercise. - The views are always great. If your from the Lower 48 this is not a 5 ... what people say » star hotel. If you want clean, dry, warm close to places to eat and the fishing harbor this is it. I stay here a few times a year and have always been comfy

  Room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable which was very important. The staff were very accomodating to my requests. Late check in process was very easy! It definately felt like cabin in the woods, but with modern comforts. Very comfortable for a couple enjoying a private romantic weekend. - The owner met us as we drov... what people say » e in- welcomed us by name, walked us down to the cabin. The cabin was clean, beautiful furniture, bed was comfortable, had a refrigerator and microwave. Just a short walk down to the creek where salmon were jumping. It was, by far, the best place we stayed during our trip to Alaska.

  Sauerdough Lodging's studio was bright, airy, and very charming. It's in a very old building, and much of the original character remains. It was very comfortable to stay in, and the location is perfect - right in the original Seward downtown. Right in the heart of downtown Seward. The room was really adorable, and although we only stayed there one night, the kitchen would have been really fun to take advantage of. The unique nature of the lodging was fun as well. Although we never dealt with any person during our stay, 'check in' went very smoothly.

  The room was very nice, great view, and stocked with breakfast food to meet our needs (food allergy friendly). We liked Seward very much. Major Marine provided a great fjord tour where we saw lots of wildlife. - Gammy Bird is spacious with updated finishes--feels spa-like. The well-stocked fridge and the views of the harbor were great.
